Ride through some of the best powder in Canada on one of these snowmobiling tours in the Columbia Mountains near Revelstoke, BC.  During these snowmobiling trips you will have a chance to explore the many trails and alpine meadows of Boulder Mountain and Frisby Ridge, two of the best snowmobiling areas in western Canada.  

The Columbia Mountains of western Canada are known around the world for their massive annual snowfall of 50-60 feet and incredible powder snow conditions.  Great snowmobiling is guaranteed during the winter.  Moderate temperatures, the extensive network of groomed trails and endless alpine meadows all make this a world class snowmobile destination.

This area is known for its world class snowmobiling conditions and combined with fine dining, and comfortable accommodations, this will be an unforgettable trip.  Using the lodge as a base, your guides will take you out on a different tour each day.  Climb mountains, discover old cabins, ride across alpine lakes and meadows and take a dip in a local hotsprings. Your guides will teach you the basic skills of mountain snowmobiling and soon you will be riding up steep hills, jumping snow drifts and doing power turns in 3 feet deep snow.  Enjoy lunch on the mountain each day and at night return to a comfortable lodge where hot tubs, pools and great food offer you a relaxed atmosphere.

They offer two to five day snowmobile tours for beginner and expert riders. These are no 'follow-the leader' tours; If you can ride it, they'll take you there and let you free ride. It's not just fabulous snowmobiling in Revelstoke, some tours even include BBQ's in our private cabin, night rides and hot spring visits.

TRANSPORTATION

Trips originate and end outside of the town of Revelstoke, British Columbia.  Revelstoke is located about a 4.5 hour drive from Calgary, 6 hour drive from Vancouver and 2 hour drive from Kamloops or Kelowna.

Winter temperatures average between 0 and -15 degrees Celsius. The Revelstoke area is known for its heavy snowfall each winter.

The Kootenay region of British Columbia is a mix of mountains, lakes, rivers and alpine meadows making it the perfect adventure destination. For a province noted for its scenery, the Kootenays are considered by many to be one of the most scenic areas of BC. This region includes the Selkirk and Purcell Mountain ranges offering alpine hiking at some of the most remote backcountry lodges in the world and rivalling the scenery of their Rocky Mountain neighbours.

The Kootenays and Revelstoke also offer some of the best powder skiing in Canada and there is both snowcat and heli-skiing to choose from. The Monashee Mountains near Revelstoke are legendary for snowfall, and heli skiers and boarders know about the quality and quantity of this areas snow. Revelstoke is also world renowned for mountain snowmobiling and sledders come from all over the world to experience the annual snowfalls of 40 - 60 feet. This region is truly an adventure enthusiast's dream.

PROVIDED EQUIPMENT

600 cc snowmobiles equipped for mountain riding, helmet, boots, snowmobile suit, gloves, fuel,  snowmobile certificate.

ACCOMMODATIONS

All tours are based from the lodge outside of the town of Revelstoke. The lodge has a variety of fireplace room and hot tub log cabins to choose from. The lodge has a restaurant/pub, indoor swimming pool, sauna, worshop, on-site snowmobile fuel and safe place to park your vehicle and snowmobile trailer.


MEALS & DINING

Three meals a day are included starting with dinner on the first day and ending with breakfast on the last day. Welcome drink is also included.

Day 1

Your weekend starts with a relaxed night at the deluxe mountain snowmobile resort. Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner in the 'Sledders' Pub.


Day 2

After a hot breakfast, we take you through your snowmobile safety instruction, do a riding briefing and equip you with riding gear that includes boots, a special snowmobile suit and helmet. We ride directly from the resort and our mountain guides take you through easy terrain to familiarize you with your snowmobile.

A scenic tour along Lake Revelstoke shows the magnificent mountains of this region. After lunch we head for the alpine of Frisby Ridge, where your special equipped snowmobile will easily bring you to greater heights of deep powder snow meadows. After an exciting first day we return to the lodge where you can relax in the pub, sauna, pool or hot tub. Dinner is enjoyed near the open fire-place at the pub.


Day 3

Ready to step it up in the fabulous snow of the Columbia Mountains? Today we explore more alpine powder snow in the big bowls and meadows of Boulder Mountain. Amidst snow-capped trees and fabulous winter scenery we show you how to carve smooth lines through deep powder snow and introduce you to the art of side-hilling. After lunch you can show us your skills, when we slalom through the trees and explore untracked bowls and alpine meadows high in the Monashee Mountains. We return to the resort for our farewell at appr. 3.30 pm.


Day 1

Your 3-day trip starts with a relaxed night in a deluxe fireplace room at the Revelstoke snowmobile hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner in our 'Sledders’ pub.


Day 2

After breakfast we take you through your snowmobile safety instruction and equip you with riding gear that includes boots, a special snowmobile suit and helmet. Today we explore the alpine of Boulder Mountain, one of the most popular riding areas. Powder filled alpine meadows, steep hills and climbs like Turbo Hill or Sugar Bowl will provide lots of entertainment. After an exciting first day, we return to the main lodge where you can relax in the sauna, pool or hot tub followed by a cozy dinner in the Pub.


Day 3

Ready for more snow fun in the Columbia Mountains? Today we leave the crowds behind and explore Turtle Mountain (depending on riders and conditions). This is a fabulous area that requires good riding skills as we climb steep mountain slopes. Negotiating several snow filled gullies, we make our way to a large lake with lots of fun areas to play. Learn how to carve smooth lines in the powder snow and climb hills with a special side-hilling technique.


Day 4

After breakfast we explore the second popular area of Revelstoke: Frisby Ridge. Like you, we love to explore new terrain and find untouched snow. On this mountain there’s lots of it. We might even see some mountain caribou that roam the hills around here. After lunch we slalom through the trees and alpine meadows back to the lodge at appr. 3.30 pm.


Day 1

Arrive at the resort and enjoy dinner and a welcome drink.


Day 2

After breakfast, we take you through your snowmobile safety instruction and equip you with boots, a snowmobile suit and helmet. We ride right from the resort and introduce you to mountain snowmobiling on the trails and alpine of Frisby Ridge. This is in our backyard mountain and offers not only a cozy mountain chalet, but some incredible scenery and lots of snow-fun filled meadows and hills.


Day 3

We explore the scenic trails and spacious alpine meadows of Boulder Mountain. We ride across ‘Streeter Street’ and head up the scenic Veideman Trail that brings us to the infamous Super Bowl, Turbo Hill and the sensational 150 horsepower cliffs of ‘Turbo’, where the brave of heart try to make it over the top of a sheer vertical cliff.


Day 4

After 2 hard days of riding you'll enjoy a trip to the hotsprings this morning. A 45 min drive by van brings us to the soothing waters of Crazy Creek waterfalls and hot springs. After a relaxed soak we return at lunchtime to Revelstoke where we gear up for an afternoon of snowmobile fun on Frisby Ridge. Highlight of Monashee Magic is a candle light Steak or Salmon BBQ dinner in our 'Glacier Station' cabin at 6200 ft elevation. Following our headlights we head back to the twinkling lights of the resort.


Day 5

This morning we depart for the Jordan Valley on Boulder mountainj. This gorgeous ride takes us along the river, flanked by sheer cliffs and forests on either side. We next head for the alpine of Boulder to explore frozen lakes and high altitude meadows. A thrilling ride through the trees brings us back to the valley bottom where we head for the lodge appr. 3.30/ 4 pm.  A great experience !


Day 1

Arrive in Revelstoke and check in to the resort. This great snowmobile resort offers comfortable fire-place rooms and log chalets, indoor pool, spa, sauna, fitness room, restaurant and a cozy pub. Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner in the pub tonight.


Day 2

Frisby Ridge. After breakfast we start this trip with a detailed rider briefing. Then we outfit you with boots, a snowmobile suit and helmet and we’re ready to go. We explore the trails along Lake Revelstoke, where we are rewarded with great views of the Selkirk Mountains and the occasional moose. Then after lunch we head for the alpine for your first introduction to mountain riding in the steeper hills and deeper snow. We return to the lodge approximately 4 pm, where the hot tub, pool, and our cozy pub await us.

 


Day 3

Boulder Mountain & Hot springs. This morning we ride across ‘Streeter Street’ and head up the scenic Veideman Trail that brings us to the alpine cabin. From here it is only a short climb to the amazing alpine meadows of this large riding area. Play in the deep snow and learn to safely negotiate steeper hills and drops, learn to side-hill and have fun exploring the alpine of Boulder Mountain. Day 4

Boulder Mountain / Jordan Valley. This morning a late start sees us snowmobile to the Jordan Valley, where a meandering river is flanked by sheer cliffs and forests on either side. Then we head for the alpine meadows and frozen lakes of Boulder Mt., where more alpine riding awaits. Known for its infamous Super Bowl, Turbo Hill and the sensational 150 horsepower cliffs of ‘Turbo’ Hill, there is a lot of alpine terrain to explore. A thrilling ride through the trees brings us back to the valley bottom, where we head back to the lodge.


Day 5

BBQ on Frisby Ridge. This morning is free to visit Revelkstoke or sleep in. After lunch (or bring your lunch on the mountain snowmobile to the alpine of Frisby Ridge for some great afternoon riding fun. Hungry yet?? Get ready for a cozy candle light Steak or Salmon BBQ dinner in ‘Glacier Station’ our cabin at 6200 ft elevation. We return in the dark to the resort.


Day 6

Frisby Ridge/ Boulder Mountain. This last day starts with a scenic exploration of the forests of Frisby Ridge or Boulder Mountain.  We next head for the alpine, where you can enjoy more of the fantastic rdifing this area has to offer. In the afternoon we cruiseg through the trees back to the lodge. Return approx. 3.30 pm
