And regardless of your skill level, these fishing adventures provide a unique opportunity for you to enjoy some of the most pristine, remote wilderness in British Columbia.

From quiet lakeside moments and breathtaking mountain views to renewed confidence and strengthened family ties, there’s no end to what you’ll discover in this majestic wilderness. On these fishing trips, we invite anglers of all skill levels to experience this wilderness for themselves. Our pristine mountain lakes are remote and uncrowded, providing prime fishing and ample opportunities to catch fish, regardless of your skill level. Our mountain lakes are home to healthy populations of Rainbow Trout, Mountain Whitefish, and Kokanee. On each day of these fishing adventures, your angling guide will take you to one of our pristine lakes or ponds, selected with your preferred fish species and desired experience in mind. Along the way, you’ll likely see some of the local wildlife, including bald eagles, bears, moose, and deer.

GUIDE INFORMATION

The ranch has an outstanding calibre of licensed guides.  They come from varied backgrounds and their expertise is matched to each trip.  You will be impressed with their abilities to communicate with guests from every walk of life and level of outdoor skill.  Most important, they know how to judge situations, and assess and determine the abilities and limits of the guests.  Every trip must be educational, safe and enjoyable.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Requirements: Fishing gear and tackle, fishing license, medication for allergies,  biodegradable soap/shampoo, flashlight, batteries  warm sleeping bag to 10 below Celsius, towel/face cloth, empty pillowcase.

Comments: Trips available for beginner to advanced fly fisherman.   

TRANSPORTATION

Trips originate and end at the ranch, near Gold Bridge, BC.  During the summer season take Highway 99 from Vancouver to Whistler and then Pemberton. Take the Hurley Pass Forestry Road to the ranch. Full directions provided upon reservation.

Van transfer from Vancouver to the ranch can be added for additional cost. 

WEATHER

This 5,000 square km guide territory lies within a transition zone between the Coast Mountains and the Chilcotin Plateau.  This favoured position produces a "rainshadow".  This means sunny skies and a dry bug-free environment.

SUGGESTED CLOTHING

Hat with brim, bandana, rain pants and jacket, warm jacket (down or wool), slippers or indoor shoes for ranch, hiking boots with good ankle support, 2 pairs of gloves, one light, one insulated, 1 pair of socks per day, personal toiletries and clothing, long johns, rubber boots or gum boots, toque or headband,.  Bring at least two changes of clothes in case you get wet.

Sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellent, good camera, spare battery, lots of film, binoculars, a small daypack, water bottle.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Accommodations at the ranch are a choice of either comfortable rooms or chalets at the ranch with ensuite bathrooms with a varied combination of sleeping arrangements (ie. queen, twin, bunk) all with feather duvets.  The ranch is spacious, complete with two story fireplace, sun room, large central dining room.

Delicious meals prepared in the cookhouse.  You will find it hard to believe you are in the wilderness when you are dining on this legendary western fare.  Feed your newfound appetite on unlimited fresh fruit and vegetables, lots of homemade baking, and delicious and hearty main courses.  Your hosts will cook your catch or create vegetarian dishes to suit your style of eating.  Enjoy open air lunches and campfire meals.
