River fishing for rainbow trout on the remote rivers of the Chilcotin Mountains in BC

Some of the best river fishing for rainbow trout in Canada can be found in the Chilcotin Mountains north of Vancouver.  Whether you're a trout fishing enthusiast with a custom rod, or a beginner angler with an urge to hook a magnificent rainbow trout, these remote rivers and streams within the 5,000 sq. km angling territory will fulfill your dreams.  Picture eagles gliding on mid-day up drafts and a surrounding panorama of peaks and forested terrain.  Complete the picture with wild native rainbow trout shattering the mountain reflections.  Your licensed angling guide is knowledgeable on wildlife and the environment, as well as on the best flies to use and where the big ones hide out.

Set in the majestic mountains of British Columbia, these fishing trips combine the heart of the wilderness with the art of fly fishing. Throughout your fishing getaway, you’ll get to pursue the sport you love in our pristine fly fishing rivers and streams. With high quality Rainbow Trout, Kokanee Salmon, Bull Trout, Dolly Varden, and Mountain Whitefish, each day holds the promise of new and fulfilling fishing experiences. Throughout these all-inclusive vacations,  wilderness guides are on hand to coach beginners in fly fishing techniques and to share insider tips with more advanced anglers. Whether you desire the camaraderie of group fishing trips or the solitude of a solo retreat, our fly fishing getaways will bring you closer to nature and to this time-honored sport.

These fly fishing rivers and streams have pure, cold waters with high oxygenation levels- the optimal environment for healthy fish populations. Fly fishing for trout is especially rewarding in these mountains; the abundant freshwater shrimp population produces firm, high quality Rainbow Trout. Our other fish species, including Kokanee Salmon, Brook Trout, Dolly Varden, and Mountain Whitefish, also thrive in our pristine waters. If you are intent on fly fishing for trout or another specific species, we’ll tailor your fly fishing experience to your personal goals. And if you prefer a more diverse experience, we also craft fishing trips that allow you to explore multiple fly fishing rivers, streams, and lakes throughout your fly fishing getaway.
