Miramichi, New Brunswick has the largest run of salmon in North America. Incredible fly fishing for Atlantic Salmon as well as shad and trout are available. The Miramichi River's fame rests primarily on its unmatched ability to produce Atlantic Salmon, the King of game fish. Some 100,000 ranging in size from 1.4 to more than 13 kg (3-30 lb) make their way up the river every summer and fall. This one river produces nearly one half of all the rod caught salmon in North America.  New Brunswick rivers usually yield over 30,000 fish for anglers' flies. For more than a century the Miramichi has attracted the elite of sport fishermen from all over the world.

Spring Fishing - Spring salmon fishing commences the 15th of April and continues until around the last of May . You can expect plenty of action at this time of year with fishermen sometime taking 10 to 15 a day. In May and early June the lodge has a good run of sea run brookies and shad, where you can also try your hand.

Summer & Fall Fishing - Summer salmon runs from around mid June until the 15th of October. In June one of the world's largest run of salmon begins on the Miramichi and continues until late September when a new surge of fall arrivals continue to join them. This fall run are usually the largest of fish. Some of them well over 30 lbs.

Most people who come to the Miramichi on vacation come to fish for Atlantic Salmon and the lodge specializes in guided fishing trips. But due to the excellent central location in the province, this lodge can offer easy access to a variety of other adventures and day trips that the whole family can enjoy, ranging from canoeing, kayaking to river boat cruises on the Miramichi River, whale watching on the Bay of Fundy, salt water fishing on the bay of Chaluer, nature and wildlife tours and cruises, horseback riding, the Rocks and the highest tides in the world at Hopewell Cape, or even a visit across the Confederation bridge to PEI and Anne of Green Gables. These are all within a day trip while staying in your choice of our 4 star all-inclusive lodge or private self-catering cottage accommodations.
