Small group heli-skiing packages in the Purcell and Selkirk Mountains of BC

Experience superb untracked powder on a heli skiing trip in the Purcell and Selkirk Mountains in the interior of British Columbia. These tours offer flexible heli-skiing and heli-boarding holidays with small groups of 4 guests, unlimited vertical and packages that range from 2-6 days so there is a tour to fit everyone’s budget and schedule.

The interior ranges of British Columbia- the Selkirks and Purcells- are possibly the most famous heli-skiing mountain ranges in the world.  The Selkirk and Purcell Mountains offer phenomenal amounts of light, dry powder snow, good flying and skiing weather and tens of thousands of square kilometers of wilderness.  This exclusive heli-skiing adventure will allow you to experience this area without the crowds and unlimited vertical skiing on all packages.

This unique package specializes in catering to small groups and you will never ski in a group of larger than 4 people. This small group size allows the guide to give you personalized instruction and you will ski better with more fun, less stress, fewer falls and less fatigue.  The small group size makes this the perfect place to try heli skiing or heli-boarding for the first time and everyone will appreciate the extra attention and personal service your guides provide.  With no more than three groups on the hill at one time, this means no crowds and more untracked powder.

Your guides have an exclusive license to almost 2000 square kilometers of the Selkirk and Purcell mountain ranges, along the north and east borders of Glacier National Park.  There are hundreds of ski runs to choose from, offering every type of terrain and exposure, including glaciers, open bowls and gladed trees.  Many new runs still await their first tracks.  Capture the dream of heli skiing the way it was meant to be experienced.

ACCOMMODATIONS

In total there are 22 tastefully appointed rooms at the lodge, each with double queen beds, down duvets and full bath with quarry tile floors. All rooms have scenic views of the Alder Creek valley and the towering Selkirk Mountains.

The craftsmanship and design at the lodge are clearly reminiscent of a bygone era. Beautiful, massive fir and larch beams are pinned together with oak and mahogany dowels and the exposed joinery techniques are a tribute to the timber frame craft. The large, vaulted ceiling dining room offers panoramic vistas of the rugged Selkirk Mountains. The lodge and the hotel rooms are in two separate buildings, joined by a heated pathway. So you have the option of being social in the lounge or escaping to the quiet of your room.

Recently re-decorated guest rooms are sure to provide comfort and privacy; with wireless internet and the option of Satellite television, you can now choose to keep up to date on news and events. A few of the amenities we offer are the services of an in-house massage therapist, as well as a ski shop and outdoor hot tub.

Most importantly, the lodge is equipped with on-site heli-pads literally 50 steps from our Lodge. No shuttles are required, all of your heli-skiing flies directly to and from the lodge.

Communications from the lodge are by satellite. You can phone, fax, email, or use the Internet to communicate, but be aware that the satellite and fax costs are expensive. Your most cost efficient way to communicate is by e-mail. Please keep this in mind when making arrangements with family or business.
