Located near Vancouver, the fast-paced Chilliwack River offers exciting whitewater rafting experience. The Chilliwack River offers an exciting day on the river. Considered to be one of the best rivers near Vancouver, the Chilliwack is the perfect  white water rafting day trip. Nestled amongst the mountains of the North Cascades, the Chilliwack drops 10 metres per kilometre, creating numerous long and continuous rapids. Easily accessible and only one hour from the city, the Chilliwack is highlighted by the Tamahi rapids, where training takes place for the Canadian national kayak team.

Fed by the melting snow pack of Mount Baker, the Chilliwack River is at its best from May through July and is an exhilarating day trip.  Come check out the exciting Class III-IV rapids on the Chilliwack River. This day trip is the most extensive one available at 18 km long and includes all your favourite rapids such as Sawmill, Swamp and the mighty Tamahi rapids!

GUIDE INFORMATION

All guides are qualified, first-aid trained and licensed.  They will do their most to ensure your trip is safe and enjoyable.  6-9 people per raft.

RESTRICTIONS

Children must be 10 years old and weigh a minimum of 80 lbs.

Prices are plus a 5% park user fee.

TRANSPORTATION

Trips originate and end south of Chilliwack, BC.  Travel 1 hour east of Vancouver on Highway #1 to Chilliwack, take Exit 119 south. Take a left on Knight Road at Canadian Tire, second set of lights.  Take first right at Shaw Road.   Meet in the parking lot of Major League II. Transporation to and from Vancouver is available for an additional cost.

WEATHER

In the summer, daytime temperatures average 15-30  degrees Celsius.  The water will be cool, but wetsuits are provided. Trips run rain or shine.

PROVIDED EQUIPMENT

All the rafting equipment you’ll need, this includes a wetsuit, helmet, life jacket and paddle. Waterproof bags are available for cameras and extra clothing. 

SUGGESTED CLOTHING

Bathing or shorts, towel, wool socks, sneakers or wetsuit boots, wool or fleece sweater and rain jacket.  Dry clothing for after your adventure.

SUGGESTED ITEMS

Waterproof camera, daypack, sunglasses, sunscreen, water bottle.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Not included, but arrangements can be made at local hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts or campsites.

CANCELLATION POLICY & DETAILS
Trips are non-refundable within 21 days of departure, however, substitutions are accepted up until time of departure. We reserve the right to alter or cancel any trip due to insufficient bookings or conditions beyond our control.
