Fish for world record Steelhead and Salmon on the productive rivers of the Skeena and Kitimat.
The Kitimat River offers guided trips for monster April Steelhead. June and July they target the largest Salmon species, the Chinook. July, the Pink and Chum Salmon arrive in the thousands. August and September the aggressive and acrobatic Coho Salmon arrive. The guide will take you on rafts and drift boats down this 18 mile stretch before it enters the saltwater of the Douglas Channel.
The secluded lodge location is conveniently located to cater to fishing clients who can walk to the river from the lodge after supper as well as pick up any items for your stay, as the town of Kitimat is at your fingertips. Your hosts freeze and package fish for all their guests and have a guide service located right at the lodge for freshwater and saltwater charters.
The world class Skeena River receives a large run of all 5 Salmon species as well as Steelhead. The Skeena River has produced world record fish well into the 100 lbs. range. Guided trips begin in late June until early October. During this season you are transported by covered jetboats to wisk you away in search of salmon and steelhead.
This area has some of the world's most famous rivers for the much sought after Steelhead. There are also plenty of Coho, Sockeye, Chum und Pink salmon to provide unsurpassed sport for the any fisherman. There have even been Chinooks reported at up to 100 lbs., with the rod and reel record standing at 99.5 lbs.
