Caving tours north of Toronto


Explore the deep, dark caves of the escarpment on these caving tours near Toronto.  Crawl, climb and squeeze through three naturally air-conditioned caves. Your guides will lower you into an 80-ft crevice cave and you can search for the freshwater spring in the cave. You’ll be amazed at the lush hiking and photogenic landscape. This is a refreshing trip in the heat of the summer.

General Itinerary (may vary depending on group size, speed and promptness).

10:00 a.m. – Instructors meet you at the designated area. Participants are required to sign waivers.
10:05 a.m. – Participants are given harnesses, helmets, caving gloves, and headlamps.
10:15 a.m. – Participants are escorted to the first cave
12:00 p.m. – Break for lunch at lookout point
12:30 p.m. – Continue to second and third cave
3:00-4:00 p.m. – Return to parked vehicles.

Your guides are dedicated to keeping you safe and giving your team the personalized attention you need to achieve your goals.

RESTRICTIONS

The guides in charge of this program operate with your safety in mind. However, caving entails a certain degree of danger. Before signing up for the program, you must understand that you assume all responsibility. You will be required to sign a liability waiver before starting the program. If you don’t comply with safety guidelines, the guides will have the right to suspend your participation in the program without compensation.

TRANSPORTATION

Location is Metcalfe Rock near Collingwood, Ontario (major cross streets are 9th Sideroad and 10th line). Collingwood is about a 2 hour drive north of Toronto.

WEATHER

The program will only be cancelled if weather conditions are dangerous. Unless you receive a phone call cancelling the program, assume the course will run rain or shine.

PROVIDED EQUIPMENT

Your guides provide all the technical equipment such as helmets, harnesses and other required gear.

SUGGESTED CLOTHING

Wear weather-appropriate clothing. Quick dry clothing (polyester or nylon) is recommended. Make sure to wear clothing you are not worried about getting dirty or ripped. Bring a rain jacket, as the program will run regardless of weather conditions. Hiking shoes or running shoes are appropriate for the day.

Pack water, sunglasses, extra jacket, insect repellent, sunscreen, day pack.

Not included in the price.  May be arranged upon request at nearby Inn, bed and breakfast as well as camping.

Balance of payment is due 60 days before trip commencement.
CANCELLATION POLICY & DETAILS
Full payment required for all programs. All of our courses are 100% non-refundable. If you have to cancel your course after you have made payment, no refunds will be issued to you. Similarly, if you need to interrupt your course, no refunds will be issued for the unused portion of the trip. Under certain conditions, it may be possible to transfer the course you purchased to another participant. A $25 charge for transferring a course will apply.
