Cross country skiing from an alpine lodge in the Purcell Mountains of BC

Travel to this world-class cross country skiing facility located high in the alpine meadows of the Purcell Mountain range of BC for your next backcountry ski experience. This is the finest backcountry skiing in the Canadian Rockies/Purcell Mountain area. Imagine half a dozen untracked peaks and bowls. Towering summits rising up to touch the sky. Over 3000 acres of gently rolling alpine meadows. This landscape beckons to the backcountry skier, telemark and cross country enthusiasts who come to play.

And in the middle of it all, accessible only by helicopter, the finest remote mountain chalet in North America, complete with hot showers, sauna and gourmet food.  Guests come from around the world to experience some of the best powder snow in British Columbia.  The terrain mix surrounding the lodge is also the most diverse of all interior BC backcountry destinations, and the lodge is able to service a very mixed clientele with outstanding success.

This lodge sits atop one of the largest alpine meadows in British Columbia, surrounded by some of the finest ski terrain imaginable. All blanketed with deep Purcell powder snow. This means you can choose almost any type of terrain you want: rolling meadows, intermediate alpine slopes, glades, 2000’ alpine descents, tight chutes or wide open bowls.  Easy entry level cross country skiing and snowshoeing take place on the vast and scenic alpine meadows.

Ski improvement instruction, and novice to intermediate telemark, ski touring and snowboarding take place on the slopes surrounding the lodge. Long sustained peak to creak powder hounding take place on several other mountains just a short tour away. This is an ideal circumstance, which permits typical couples with vastly differing ski expertise to share an equally pleasant winter holiday experience at the same destination. Snowshoeing, toboganning and extraordinary photo opportunities are just some of the other winter activities available for the guest's enjoyment.
