Winter wilderness adventure lodge in Algonquin Park

Paticipate in several different traditional Canadian winter adventure activities from this wilderness lodge in Algonquin Park. While Algonquin Park in Ontario  is one of Canada's most popular summer destinations, fewer people have experienced the stunning beauty of the park in the winter.  Frozen lakes, waist deep snow, wildlife, the howl of a wolf and the crisp, clear air are just a few of the delights of a winter experience in this park.

This three day adventure features comfortable adventure lodge accommodations and a chance to participate in several popular winter activities including dogsledding, cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

If you prefer a wilderness experience by day and a comfortable bed at night; this is the perfect trip. Spend the days mushing your own team of huskies or cross country skiing through the wilderness of the Almaquin trail.  Snowshoe to a local lake and try your luck at some ice fishing, or just relax at the lodge and enjoy the surroundings.  This is an excellent winter getaway.

No experience is required for this 3 day winter trips. It is a great way to get a taste of all aspects of winter. The lodge offers comfort after an energetic day on skis or snowshoes. Enjoy a wood-fired sauna, shower, and then sip a hot drink in front of the stone fireplace. Guests continue to rave about our creative and home cooked Canadian feasts!

Other favourite options include ice fishing, Quincy building and toasting toes in the warm confines of the cabin! Another home-cooked feast and further relaxing finishes our day.

Harnesses, gee and ha, and ganglines are just a few of the expressions we pick up as we spend the morning mushing our own team of huskies. After a trail lunch, we depart for Toronto arriving at 7pm.
