Your instructors will teach you how to build it, hand pick each log, and custom fit each log into your personally designed cabin. In just one week, you’ll learn how to select trees in the forest, horse log the trees to your site, cut the basic saddle notch, deal with challenging logs, choose from different roof options, install windows and doors and allow for settle up.
No previous construction or carpentry background is needed. Your instructor will teach all the periphery skills needed like power saw safety, maintains and sharpening, horse logging techniques, and axe use.
The overall objective of this program is to provide participants with a solid base of combined knowledge and practical skills to build their own log cabin.
