Self-guided canoeing tours in Kejimkujik National Park in Nova Scotia

Explore Kejimkujik National Park by canoe at your own pace on these self-guided fully outfitted canoeing tours in Nova Scotia. Let your organizers take care of your park entry fees, permits and campsite registration. They will put together a backcountry menu that highlights a mix of fresh local food coupled with dehydrated meals designed by the experts. Simplicity and convenience is the goal, and you’ll score high with one of these outfitting packages that include everything you need to explore the lakes and rivers of Kejimkujik National Park by canoe on your own. They will even plan your route for you; you won’t have to lift a finger pre-trip.

Arrive at Jake’s Landing in the park with just your personal gear and you’ll find all your equipment plus food ready to go!  Your organizers will make sure nothing is overlooked, and they'll even help you with the final stages of packing. You won’t have to stress a minute as they pay attention to every detail with this package. There are several outfitting packages to choose from so you are sure to find the perfect fit for your personal needs.

Deluxe Package

Luxury is your middle name, and comfort is what you do. Your organizers have assembled this total glamour package to meet your every scruple, and they know it will satisfy. With the lightest and most technologically advanced equipment, plus the finest selection from their gourmet menu and all the hassles of planning and preparation taken care of. Plus, as an added bonus you’ll enjoy the benefits of our Tenderfoot service. Let your experienced guide teach you the ways of the wilderness. Learn the basic canoe strokes and portage skills, how to start your fire, read a map, set up your tent and lots more! This instructional will require about three hours, so show up early!

Lightweight Package

Ever hauled an 85 pound canoe packed with mosquitos over a long rocky portage on a hot July day? We don’t recommend starting now. No one enjoys a portage and there’s no point adding insult to injury lugging extra pounds around. Your organizers put this package together keeping weight in mind. You’ll suffer less and travel further with our lightweight outfitting package.

Premium Package

You’ve roughed it before and you’ve earned your salt, now you’re ready for a few extra comforts. This package doesn’t pretend technology hasn’t budged since the 1930’s; it exploits the fact. Your guide has put this one together for wilderness users that don’t mind a bit of extra bulk in exchange for more comfort and less hassle.

Classic Package

You know what you want and you know where to get it. This is a pared down ‘no-frills’ backcountry outfitting package designed to get you in the wilderness without being bogged down by the luxuries of glamping. This package harks back to the olden times when woodsmen and voyageurs roved the wilderness with only the basics, before expletives like ‘ultralight’ and ‘featherweight’ were part of the camping vernacular.
