World class salmon and halibut fishing on Nootka Island, BC

World class saltwater fishing for salmon and halibut awaits at this remote lodge on Nootka Island. Located just off the northwest coast of Vancouver Island, the serenity and seclusion of uncrowded Nootka Island provides a paradise for fishing. This lodge offers world-class fishing for Chinook (King) Salmon, Coho (Silver) Salmon, Halibut, Ling Cod and Rockfish in the rich fishing grounds of scenic, historic Nootka Sound, British Columbia.

This lodge on Nootka Sound is truly "Natural British Columbia". Wildlife abounds and the scenery is breathtaking. The chance to battle Chinook (King) Salmon up to 60 pounds, or the fighting Coho (Silver) in excess of 15 pounds, awaits the ardent fisherman. And along with great saltwater fishing the area offers an abundance of wildlife including whales, black bear, deer, bald eagles, otters and variety of sea birds. For the non-angler the area offers excellent hiking, wildlife watching and kayaking opportunities.

Whether you are fishing, hiking, kayaking, dining, enjoying a favorite beverage or appetizer, sharing your day's fishing adventure or just relaxing, you will always feel you are among close friends.

RESTRICTIONS

You can take fish home with you. Catch limits change throughout the season and vary depending on the species of fish. The lodge staff will be happy to give you the details upon arrival.

Float planes have a 25 lbs per person limit on scheduled flights.  We recommend that baggage be limited to 25 lbs per person on charter flights exceeding four passengers.  This will allow for your limit of fish (up to a total of 400 lbs max) to be accommodated on your return flight.  We also recommend  your gear be packed in smaller sized soft-sided bags.  Due to the size of the baggage compartment in the aircraft, we do not allow fish boxes or coolers.  Insulated coolers and gel ice are available to transport your catch on the major airlines.
