Corporate meeting and conference facilities at a wilderness lodge in the Northwest Territories

Enjoy all of the amenities of the city at a remote wilderness lodge for your next corporate meeting or conference. This environmentally friendly, four-season wilderness lodge has a beautifully handcrafted log lodge and private log cabins. The only lodge on a 17 mile long lake southeast of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, and accessible only by air charter from the NWT capital, this lodge offers all the comforts of a resort in a magical wilderness setting.

Leave the distractions of the city and office behind. Enjoy the wilderness of the Northwest Territories while holding your meeting or retreat in the unique environment of this private resort. Incorporate the outdoor activities and culture of the area into your programming to make your meeting the best one ever!

Team building and face to face communications take on new meaning when participants are immersed in the natural beauty, privacy and distraction-free environment of this wilderness resort. The contemplative atmosphere promotes camaraderie and a renewed sense of purpose.

After a day of meetings, relax with your colleagues by the fire. Lose yourself in our unique collection of books, maps and historical photos. Hike, jog or cross-country ski our groomed trails. Fish for lake trout or northern pike in summer, fish through the ice in winter. Capture the evening light paddling the lake at midnight, or let Nature's own light show, the Aurora Borealis, enthrall your group in autumn and winter.  The outdoor hot tub with a million dollar view is always a hit with conference guests.

Larger groups have exclusive use of the facility in summer or winter, allowing  you the privacy you need to conduct a successful and cost effective retreat.

ACCOMMODATIONS

There are five large guest rooms on the second floor of the main lodge, with access to shared shower and washrooms (no private washrooms in the rooms). Lodge rooms are dressed with down duvets, and feature huge windows with expansive views. There are two viewing decks upstairs and an outdoor hot tub. The main floor serves as the lounge, with bar, dining room and library. The main floor also houses the kitchen and a small office, and his and hers showers and washrooms, shared with cabin guests. Unusally for such a remote facility, our washrooms not only have hot running water, but also hotel-style toilets; you would hardly know they are the eco-friendly composting kind!

There are five log guest cabins to choose from - separated for privacy. Each has its own lake view, outside camp fire pit and outdoor toilet close by. New for the 2014 season, they all have electric lighting and power and feature a minimum of four beds with down duvets. Showers and bathrooms are a five minute walk to the lodge.  All cabins are heated by woodstove.  For those who like the easy life, but with the coziness of real fire, two of our cabins now have pellet stoves which make no demands on fire-lighting skills!

Some cabins have a private ensuite toilet facility and other cabins have access to the shared Aurora Comfort Station which is a heated toilet facility and wash basin with a skylight.

The lodge and all cabins enjoy free wireless internet access.  They are all non-smoking.

The lodge prides itself on its environmentally sensitive footprint. There are solar panels, wireless Internet, two high efficiency wood burning stoves and a remarkable waterless composting toilet system.

MEALS & DINING
