Hike in one of the most pristine and remote areas of British Columbia from this backcountry fly-in lodge on the west slope of the Rocky Mountains.
In summer the lodge offers daily hiking excursions in one of the most spectacular areas of the Canadian Rockies. There are innumerable creeks, lakes, waterfalls, meadows, wild flowers, intriguing rock formations, high ridges, cols, & glaciers to view, reach and enjoy in the mountains and valleys surrounding the lodge. Most hiking is at Lodge elevation of 1,900 meters and higher up to 2,520 meters.
When demand is sufficient, we plan to add llamas to the hiking experience. Imagine hiking the remote Rocky Mountain peaks with no backpacks. Llama trekking is the ultimate “Sherpa” experience, with llamas carrying your load. Llamas have been working with the indigenous people of the Andes for millennia and are perfectly adapted for high alpine trekking. It is a unique experience to hike with these ”speechless friends” who are amiable, intelligent, and easy to handle.
