British Columbia's Kootenay River is the ideal Rocky Mountain canoe adventure. There are lots of runnable rapids, beautiful scenery, good camping opportunities and easy access. It is home to moose, elk, mule deer, wolves and bear. Kokaneee Salmon shimmer in the waters. Wetland areas provide habitats for a variety of birds and waterfowl. Bald eagles circle overhead.
