Snowshoeing tours at a backcountry lodge near Whistler, British Columbia

Experience the peace and tranquility of the Upper Callaghan valley and explore the old growth forests and sub-alpine meadows on one of these snowshoeing tours near Whistler, BC. Follow a set loop, or make your own way - the whole valley is yours to discover. Snowshoe along the edge of a mountain stream or spend the afternoon at the tobogganing hill or build a snow fort and challenge your friends to an old-fashioned snowball fight. Tours includes snowmobile transport to and from the trail head however snowshoeing in and out of the lodge is also an option for the avid snowshoer. Expect it to take at least 5 hours each direction.

Unlike other venues, snowshoeing this lodge offers the "real deal" allowing you to challenge your personal navigation skills as you wind your way through the wilderness following modest "route" flags.  Rather than walking through a commercial snowshoe "track", experience the more intimate nature of snowshoeing!  There is a variety of trails available for all skill levels. For the beginner the very short "Treasure Trail" is perfect for families who are looking to get a taste of the snowshoe experience with "little" snowshoers .  This trail has the same feel as the other routes, but stay relatively close to the lodge. This lodge offers a network of snowshoeing routes from our base, delivering more than 15 km to explore. This is one of Canada's most spectacular wilderness snowshoeing venues not to be missed by the winter adventurer.
