The Squamish and Elaho (EE-la-ho) rivers, located near Squamish, are just a short drive from Vancouver & Whistler, British Columbia. The upper section features the exciting Class 3-4 "Devil's Elbow" rapids.

Besides the rafting this tour allows you to reconnect with and enjoy the world-class scenery, including the old growth forests, dormant volcanoes, towering glaciers, and stunning waterfalls that cascade hundreds of feet towards the river If you're really lucky you'll get a glimpse of the local deer, beavers and bears which often stop by the river's edge.

Day 1

You will challenge the exhilarating rapids of the Elaho River, the same route conquered by those participating on our popular Elaho Exhilarator river rafting trip. Our talented team of professional river guides will teach you the skills necessary to maneuver through these exciting Class 3-4 rapids including the challenging "Devil's Elbow" section.

Along with some of North America's most exhilarating rapids, your river journey will take you through approximately 16 kms (10 miles) of British Columbia's most inspiring wilderness. Take time to appreciate your surroundings and enjoy the world-class scenery including old growth forests, towering glaciers, and stunning waterfalls that cascade hundreds of feet toward the river.

At the end of the Elaho Exhilarator route, we will continue our journey for a few more miles down the river, until we reach our remote wilderness camp area. All your supplies for the overnighter will be packed tightly on our rafts. The evening is spent at a our campsite, complete with a sandy beach, and stunning views of the region. As night falls, relax around the campfire as your guides prepare a delicious meal that you will be able to enjoy with your fellow adventurers. This is where the expression "getting away from it all" comes from.

Day 2

Awake to the sound of the river, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a delicious breakfast. Your second river day, spent floating down the calm waters of the Squamish River, is much more gentle and serene. Enjoy the spectacular sights this river valley has to offer. From old growth forests, glaciers, dormant volcanoes, waterfalls, and a wide variety of wildlife, this is the type of scenery you'll see in very few other regions. Depending on water levels, you may have the chance to swim through rapids, and showcase your sense of balance in some of your guide's amusing challenges.

At the end of your river journey, we’ll take you back to our fully-equipped raft resort where you’ll be able to change back into your own clothes and unpack all your gear.

The intensity of a whitewater experience seems to double a person's distance from jobs, jammed highways, bustling cities, and workaday responsibility. It sharpens all senses, hones your physicality, deepens your ability to fully inhabit a moment, and take delight in the natural world.
