This vast landscapes and stretches of open wilderness are why the Cariboo region of BC is often called “Cowboy Country”. The region includes the Cariboo Mountains and the area is rich in western culture, cattle and horse ranches. Horse lovers will find no end to the riding opportunities in this area.

The region is also home to Bowron Lakes Provincial Park which makes up the famous Bowron Lakes canoe circuit, perhaps the most famous canoe circuit in North America. Made up of a series of six different lakes joined by rivers and streams, this circuit is a must do on any paddlers list. The main communities in this region are Prince George, Quesnel, Williams Lake and 100 Mile House, located along the scenic Cariboo Highway The interior of British Columbia has it all, whatever the season.
