Itinerary

Our rugged but comfortable super truck tour takes you on an off-road experience around the fabled Golden Circle, arriving at some of Iceland’s best-known attractions from the less-traveled road. Encompassing gushing geysers, bubbling hot springs, ancient sites steeped in history and an iconic waterfall, you’ll see the best of Iceland in one thrilling day! Top it all off with an adventure in true Arctic style: we’ll take you atop Iceland’s second largest glacier for an unforgettable snowmobile ride.

People walking in Thingvellir national park

The first stop on our Iceland national park golden circle tour is the historic Þingvellir National Park. Here you can find the Althing, Iceland’s original parliament, which was founded in 930 AD and then moved to Reykjavik. Take in the cultural significance of this ancient place while enjoying the lakes, waterfalls and green mossy fields. In places, the jigsaw pieces of the Earth’s crust don’t fit snugly, meaning that you can walk between them!

Geysir Strokkur aerial view in winter

The geological marvels only intensify as we head towards the Geysir geothermal area; the centerpiece of an area bubbling with geothermal activity. Taking in an almost otherworldly atmosphere of steam and gasses, with the ground seething and gurgling below your feet, we’ll wait for the show to begin. Every 5-8 minutes a violent eruption sends jets of boiling water high into the sky, a magnificent spectacle that has to be seen to be believed.

Rainbow over Gullfoss waterfall in Iceland

Continuing on through the untamed roads of Iceland’s interior, we arrive at the majestic Gullfoss waterfall. This is the perfect place to stop for lunch at the Gullfoss Cafe. Enjoy a snack while taking in the sheer power of the waterfall, which crashes down over two separate tiers before plummeting into a deep canyon. If the sun is shining, you can capture brilliant photos of rainbows shimmering over the falls.

Group photo on Langjokull snowmobiling tour

Langjökull glacier is our final destination and where the adrenalin truly kicks in. A scenic drive takes us up to the glacier camp, where your snowmobile guide awaits. After some safety instructions, it’s off we go on the adventure of a lifetime, as our guides lead the way on an expedition across the glacier.

Exploring the vast, icy expanse of one of nature’s great wonders is an incredible experience of its own, but add the thrilling speed and fun of our sporty snowmobiles and you’ve got a truly unforgettable adventure.

A fitting end to the day of a lifetime, it’s with exhausted smiles that we climb back into the super jeep for the scenic journey back to Reykjavik.

The price of the guided tour is based on two people sharing one snowmobile. If you’re a solo traveler or prefer to have your own snowmobile, then you can upgrade to a solo snowmobile, see booking engine for details.

Drivers must possess a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years of age to operate a snowmobile in Iceland.

Pick up starts at 8:30 a.m. You’ll be picked up at your selected location in Reykjavik. Please note, that the pickup process can take up to 30 min.

Snowmobiles: Our equipment is always the best possible. We currently have 40 snowmobiles available on Langjökull – Lynx Adventures 600 CC and Polaris IQ LXT 550 CC.
