Practical Information

woman looking to the landscape in bergen

Meeting location: Bergen Tourist Information Center

Duration: 2.5 - 3.5 hours

Level: Medium

Distance: 7-10 km

Elevation: 300 - 600 metres

The hike requires some experience of hiking and has a medium difficulty level. Most of the hike is in uneven terrain that may be wet, so proper hiking shoes are required.

You meet our guide in the center of Bergen and make your way to the top of Mt Fløyen where the real hike starts. Above Mt Fløyen our guide will take you through untouched terrain, reaching some higher summits with amazing views of Bergen and the ocean surrounding it. Our guide is local and will be able to tell you about Norwegian culture, habits, and history. After hiking for about 3 hours we will return to the town center of Bergen and you can spend the rest of the day exploring Bergen town.

This hike is offered throughout the year and can be done in all seasons. Do not forget that the weather changes quickly, and it is important to dress according to the changing weather. The hike is at an elevation of 400 m.a.s.l, where it is normally a little colder than in the city of Bergen.

If we use the Fløibanen funicular the ticket comes in addition to the price.
