Highlights

  • Small-Group Experience
  • Meet and Greet the Dogs
  • Dogsledding Tour

Our dog sledding trip starts with a scenic, one-hour drive from Bodø. We'll pass through the Norwegian countryside, offering suburban views of fjords and mountains. We’ll also visit the strongest maelstrom in the world – Saltstraumen.

Your dog sledding experience will start with meeting the dogs and preparing for the ride. First, you’ll get instructions on how to harness the dogs, how to drive a dog sledding team, and steer your sled. When you’re ready, your guide will help you to launch your sled, and off you can go!

One dog sled is shared by two people, so you can try yourself as both driver and passenger. Huskies love pulling the sled and will listen to your commands. The actual dog sledding will take approximately 1-2 hours, depending on the weather conditions.
