Information

happy snow dogs in sweden

One of the most untouched wilderness areas in all of Europe, the Swedish Lapland is the perfect destination to escape into nature. Home to mountains, forests, and valleys, the area is abundant with rare arctic wildlife. Among the inhabitants of the region are moose  of which Sweden boasts the densest population in the world. If you are lucky, you might also spot some reindeer, which are herded by the Sámi people.

Our tour departs from the dog sledding kennel. You will be introduced to your furry guides before you set off across the winter wonderland of Lapland. We will weave between thick pine trees and through the Torne Valley. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife along the way.

At lunchtime, we will stop for lunch to eat in a traditional Sámi tepee or a kåta. The Sámi are the indigenous people of Sápmi or as it is now known, Lapland. They have lived in the region for generations and are among the oldest indigenous peoples on earth.

While your guide prepares lunch, you will have the opportunity to play with your four-legged friends, explore the wintry scenery, or simply relax by the fire. Following lunch, we will return back to the kennel and leave the huskies behind until we hopefully meet again!
