Departing from the capital of Lapland, Rovaniemi, this snowmobiling adventure will take you to the Arctic Circle landscape. In the beginning of the tour, the guide will provide you with all safety instruction needed for the tour and the basics on how to drive a snowmobile safely. On the 30 min ride, which is perfect for those that just want to get the taste of snowmobiling or for families, the guide will take you to the most beautiful secret spots of the area and into the Arctic Forest and the open Lapland woodland sceneries. It’s also possible to do a longer rides like 1 hr, 2hr or even 3hr long rides. The longer the tour, the more time you get to spend exploring the trails in the area and go deeper into the Rovaniemi wilderness. The longer tours are also suitable for beginners and families.
For the 30-minute tour, the total duration is 1 hour, with 30 minutes of snowmobiling.
For the 1-hour tour, the total duration is 1 hour and 45 minutes, including 1 hour of snowmobiling.
For the 2-hour tour, the total duration is 3 hours, with 2 hours on the snowmobiles.
For the 3-hour tour, the total duration is 4 hours, with 3 hours of snowmobiling.
For the 30-minute and 1-hour tours, there is no pick-up or drop-off included. Guests should meet at the office in Santa Claus Village. Children and adults without a driver’s license can join the safari by sitting in a sledge. Children aged 2–13 are seated in a sledge behind the guide’s snowmobile, and it is recommended that one parent sits with a small child in the sledge for safety reasons. Children under 2 years old are not recommended to join these tours.
For the 2-hour and 3-hour tours, pick-up and meeting points are Snowmobile Park City Office (Koskikatu 8) and Snowmobile Park Safari House (Joulumantie 5). Meeting times are indicative, and the exact meeting time will be confirmed by email the day before the tour. If the email is not received, guests should contact the service provider.

Missing the meeting time or meeting point will result in a missed safari, which is non-refundable.
To drive a snowmobile, a valid driver’s license (class B) is required. Provisional licenses or photos of a driver’s license are not accepted, and the license must be clearly readable in English. If a guest does not bring their driving license, they will not be allowed to drive, and no refund can be offered.
The snowmobile driver is responsible for any damages to the vehicle, with a maximum personal self-liability of 950 EUR per person per snowmobile in case of an accident. Optional additional insurance can be purchased on site for 15 EUR per snowmobile, reducing self-liability to 150 EUR. This insurance must be purchased before the start of the tour.
Alcohol consumption is not allowed during the tour, and guests who are intoxicated cannot participate.
