This fascinating two-hour tour will take you to some of the most fascinating places in Tallinn. You’ll learn about the city’s history through captivating stories about its medieval old town and local people. This tour includes all the main highlights – from the Latin quarter where a Dominican Monastery has been since the 13th century to Pikk Street, the main street in Tallinn in Middle Ages, and home to merchants and craftsmen guilds.
You'll be introduced to the city's medieval architecture and visit the churches of the Holy Ghost, St. Nicolas, and St. Olaf.
Tallinn’s Old Town consists of two parts – the Lower Town and the Upper Town. You’ll discover the reason for discord between these two towns.
We’ll begin our acquaintance from the Lower Town and later proceed to the Upper Town, the town of noble knights, landlords, and soldiers. Here you’ll visit Russian Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and Lutheran St. Mary’s Cathedral. We'll find the castle which hosts the Parliament of Estonia right next to the cathedrals. Later we’ll enjoy the city view from a panoramic platform.
After discovering the Upper Town, we’ll go back to Lower Town and end our tour on Town Hall Square.
