This is a fun and exciting adventure tour. During this experience, you will be guided by a musher who will guide your dog sled team. You will get to meet the friendly dogs, that love a good belly-rub. Your musher will provide information about the dogs and share his passion for dog sledding. You will also learn how the guide trains and steers the dogs

Halfway through the tour, we will take a break where you to take pictures with the dogs and the beautiful Icelandic nature.

The Greenland Dog

The Greenland Dog is a powerful, heavy-built dog. It has a broad, wedge-shaped head, slightly tilted eyes, and small, triangular ears covered with thick fur that prevents frostbite. It has strong, muscular, short-haired legs.

Renowned for their stamina and endurance, Greenland Dogs are able to traverse very difficult terrain with ease and with a high tempo. The dogs are not the type that is content lying around the house - they need to work or have some kind of vigorous activity. They have an independent and somewhat stubborn character.

Dog sledding is a weather dependent activity, we operate on snow (when there is snow) or on dry-land if there is a lack of snow.

This is a self-drive tour. We will meet you somewhere in the proximity of Reykjavik, about a 30 min - 2 hours drive, depending on the weather conditions.
