Clouds by Fimmvorduhals Mountains in Iceland

Our hike will start at Skógar and continue by the Skógá river, with over 20 waterfalls on the way. We'll also pass between the infamous Eyjafjallajokull (which erupted in 2010, disrupting the European airspace) and Myrdalsjokull with the Katla volcano below us. We'll cross the site of the 2010 volcanic eruption with the two craters, Magni and Móði.

We'll then continue to Þórsmörk, a beautiful mountain ridge named after Norse God Thor. Here you will feel like you are standing on the world's edge, overlooking a spectacular river valley.

A Super Jeep will take us back from Þórsmörk through the rough ground and unbridged rivers.

The hike's total distance is 24 km, with 1,050 m elevation. The hike will take around 9-12 hours, and the whole trip duration will be about 11-14 hours.
