The Super Jeep with Fimmvörðuháls Hike tour will take you to one of the most magnificent places in whole Iceland. Hike across volcanic areas and beautiful valleys to experience Icelandic nature.
During this hike in Fimmvörðuháls, we’ll get to know some of the significant volcanic areas in Iceland. We’ll visit the 2010 volcanic site with two volcanic craters and pass through Myrdalsjokull and Katla. We’ll hike along the Skógá river, where we can count over the 20 waterfalls. Finally, we’ll end our hike on the magnificent mountain ridge Þórsmörk. After the eventful hike, Super Jeep will bring us back through the rugged terrain and rivers.

Our hike will start at Skógar and continue by the Skógá river, with over 20 waterfalls on the way. We'll also pass between the infamous Eyjafjallajokull (which erupted in 2010, disrupting the European airspace) and Myrdalsjokull with the Katla volcano below us. We'll cross the site of the 2010 volcanic eruption with the two craters, Magni and Móði.
We'll then continue to Þórsmörk, a beautiful mountain ridge named after Norse God Thor. Here you will feel like you are standing on the world's edge, overlooking a spectacular river valley.
A Super Jeep will take us back from Þórsmörk through the rough ground and unbridged rivers.
The hike's total distance is 24 km, with 1,050 m elevation. The hike will take around 9-12 hours, and the whole trip duration will be about 11-14 hours.
