Itinerary

This is a combo activity tour. We go caving and then we back to Reykjavik where you will be pickup up for the quad tour. You will have limited time to have lunch, so we recommend that you bring a packed lunch.

Lava tube tunnel Raufarholshellir in Reykjanes

We will enter through narrow cave entrances and find they open out to reveal an extraordinary scene of lava formations and unexpected colors.

You will see natural stalactites and different rock formations making this an experience of majestic and almost indescribable beauty. The cave becomes wide and high in some places and with an even floor. However, the trip can also be tricky at times, since you need to crawl in a few places.

We recommend you wear good walking shoes or hiking boots which are suitable for walking on uneven lava surfaces.

After the lava caving adventure, we’ll take you to Reykjavík, where you will have time to have lunch and rest between the tours.

Riding ATVs on a long gravel road in Iceland

This quad biking tour is ideal for beginners, and those who want to try something new while enjoying the outdoors. Exploring the backcountry of Reykjavik has now been made accessible for everyone in a safe and fun way.

Never been on a quad bike before? Don’t worry. Most of our guests are first-timers, and our skillful guides will give special care and attention to those new to the experience. The bikes are easy to operate, and before every tour, our guides will give you operational and safety instructions.

After the lunch break, you'll be picked up to take a short drive to the ATV base on the outskirts of the city, where the 650 cc CanAm Outlander Max Quad bikes will waiting. There you'll be given a short safety briefing, show you how the bikes work, and then head out on a one-hour ATV bike tour to the top of the Hafrafjall mountain.

After enjoying the spectacular view over the Reykjavik capital area and mountain Esja, you'll will return to the base. Driving these powerful machines is a great way to explore the hills and mountains on the city's outskirts.

The quad bikes/ATV’s are fully automatic and easy to operate.

This combo tour is an excellent choice for those who want to make the most of the day: Caving, Quad biking, and some sightseeing on the way.

This is a combination of two separate tours. If one of the tours is cancelled, you will still be able to join the other part.

FAQ

Yes, we will provide you with a headlight and a helmet.

The Icelandic weather is very unpredictable therefore we highly recommend to dress in layers. Warm layers closest to you preferably wool/thermal underwear, pants sweater and on top waterproof outdoor clothing. It is also suitable to wear good hiking shoes and gloves. Jeans have proven to be a bad choice.
