Zipline Tour from Vik - South Iceland

Our zip line is located near to the idyllic village of Vik on Iceland's iconic south coast, surrounded by rolling green hills and picturesque valleys. It cannot be directly accessed in normal vehicles, so we will collect you at Nordur in Vik and make the 5-minute drive to our base camp, where you will meet our friendly local guide, get kitted out and get a short safety briefing. Then we will take the short 20-minute hike, through a dramatic river canyon, to the platform where the zip line starts.

Then, before you know it, you will be soaring over some stunning Icelandic scenery, enjoying a bird’s eye view over some wonderful sights. There is nothing quite like ziplining: the whistle of the wind in your ears, the exhilaration of being up so high and the visual feast that is whizzing past below. Following that we will take a short hike through the stunning Grafargil (Grave Canyon) rock formation, which has earnt the nickname ‘the Leap of Faith’.

Our second zipline is nicknamed the ‘Little Rush’ and will take you over a roaring waterfall named Hundafoss and the sensation of seeing the frothing white waters from above is equally as amazing as the first.

Finally, we will hike back to our base (weather permitting), the perfect way to end an unforgettable experience.

The zip-line ride is completely safe, and our friendly team of experts means that it is suitable for children too. The tour begins with an easy hike through an awe-inspiring river canyon, followed by two zip-line rides. The first, which is longer than the second, encompasses a 235 meter stretch of land, while the second is slightly shorter at 135 meters. Beneath both is a majestic area of Icelandic countryside, known as Grafargil, renowned for its spectacular natural beauty. There is no better way to experience it, than with a bird’s eye view!
