Information

The Golden Circle and glacier tour will begin once we pick you up from your selected pick-up location in Reykjavik. Then, we’ll hit the road and head to our first stop: the world-famous Golden Circle.

It’s no surprise that the Golden Circle tops adventurer’s bucket-lists, since the route is home to the country’s greatest natural attractions. Our stops in the area will include three must-see highlights: Geysir Geothermal Area, Gullfoss Waterfall, and Thingvellir National Park.

Thingvellir National Park will be our first stop of the day. Þingvellir is internationally renowned because it's the only place in the world where you can walk between the Mid-Atlantic Ridge — a spectacular sight only few will ever witness. The park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also home to the country’s first parliament building, Althingi.

Our next Golden Circle stop is the Geysir Geothermal Area in Haukadalur Valley. The valley is bursting with geothermal activity taking shape in the form of mud pools, hot springs, and steaming fumaroles. It’s here where you’ll get to see the most-beloved geysir in Iceland, Strokkur. Strokkur puts on one of nature’s greatest shows every 5-10 minutes when it blasts water as high as 40 m (130 ft) into the air.

Gullfoss Waterfall is the third and final stop of the Golden Circle tour. Last but not least, this beautiful waterfall is roughly 32 m (105 ft) tall and falls into the rugged volcanic rock of Gullfossgjúfur Canyon. If you’re lucky, a rainbow may show itself on a sunny day.

Once we’ve eaten lunch, we’ll leave Gullfoss Waterfall and begin our glacier adventure at Langjokull Glacier. Langjokull isn’t only the country’s second-biggest glacier, but also a top spot for snowmobiling and ice cave tours in Iceland.

The glacier fun will begin with snowmobile ride on Langjokull Glacier. After a brief safety introduction from our expert guide, we’ll gear-up with safety equipment and prepare for the ride. Then, we’ll hop on our snowmobiles and dash across the snowy terrain, completely surrounded by ice-capped mountains in the distance. An experience unlike any other.

After our ride, we’ll top off the day with a visit to Langjokull ice cave. Here, our guide will lead us into an icy wonderland full of majestic shapes and brilliant colors

The ice cave we visit will depend on the season. If it’s summertime, we’ll walk into the underbelly of Langjokull Glacier and explore the largest man-made ice tunnel in Iceland. If we’re there during winter, we’ll enter a natural ice cave to discover its geological history, incredible shapes, and crystal-blue ice.

After we’re done exploring, we’ll head back to Reykjavik and get dropped off at our selected drop-off points.

We’ll pick you up and drop you off in Reykjavik at your selected location.

The price of this tour is a set price for one person when they share a two-person snowmobile. If you’re a solo traveler or have an odd number of travelers in your group, you must book a solo snowmobile at an additional fee. If you’re a solo traveler and don’t have a valid driver’s license, you can book a guide to drive with you on a two-person snowmobile at an extra cost.

The ice cave you’ll visit on this tour depends on the season. If your tour is between June 1 to September 31, we’ll go to the Into the Glacier ice tunnel. If your tour is between October 1 to May 31, we’ll go to a natural ice cave at Langjokull Glacier.
