Riverjet Speed Boat Tour - AMAZING!

My husband and I had such a great time with Bjorn on the Riverjet Boat. The scenery is beautiful, the ride exhilarating, and the company was great. I also appreciate the fact that you can grab a beer afterwards at the starting point. Worth every penny.

On these compact tours, live out your motorboating fantasies and relax afterward at the Secret Lagoon, if you wish. We offer two options to suit your needs. While both speed boat tours include an extraordinary one hour ride through the rugged Gullfoss Canyon, the second one also takes you to a restorative hot spring for a relaxing dip in therapeutic waters.

All the action takes place just off the famous Golden Circle route, about a half an hour ride from Reykjavik. So, let's board a boat and explore some of Iceland's most thrilling waters!

Meet us at our Drumbó Base Camp at Drumboddsstaðir for your speed boat adventure. Once everyone is gathered, your expert jet boat guide will help you gear up and give you a safety briefing. Then, take a deep breath and prepare for an adrenaline-pumping ride through the pristine Gullfoss Canyon! Enjoy gliding through incredible rock formations as your guide navigates through the “hairpin” turns and whitewater rapids of the Hvítá River.

Meaning "White River," the Hvítá flows from Iceland's second largest glacier, Langjökull and is also home to the gushing Gullfoss Waterfall. Over the millennia, its pastel blue waters have sculpted the elongated Gullfoss Canyon giving it the appearance that it’s from another world. As you speed over Hvítá, feast your eyes on basalt cliffs of various shapes and sizes, as well as tranquil deltas teeming with seabirds, salmon, and other marine wildlife.

After adventuring on the water, you're welcome to enjoy a dinner at the cozy Drumbó restaurant or get a drink at the bar. You can even opt for a relaxing sauna if you feel like it.

Arrive at our Drumbó Base Camp at Drumboddsstaðir where your guide awaits. Before we embark on our stimulating, high-speed ride through the magnificent Gullfoss Canyon, your expert guide will provide you with equipment and safety instructions. Then, enjoy the invigorating rapids of the gushing Hvítá River and take in sweeping views of the soaring cliffs and rock formations. En route, look out for serene deltas punctuated by the songs and calls of seabirds.

For a change of scenery, we'll head to the Secret Lagoon, a geothermally heated natural pool that is 100°F (38°C) year-round. Popular among locals and visitors alike, the pool is located in the small village of Flúðir in South Iceland and claims to be the oldest swimming pool in the land of fire and ice (opened in 1891). Once we arrive at the geothermal area, get ready to soak and relax in the soothing, mineral-rich waters — a magical way to rejuvenate your mind and body.

While in the area, gaze at the pool’s natural surroundings and the ethereal plumes of white steam rising from the warm water. You’ll also find a small active geyser that erupts every five minutes. If you’ve ever dreamed of relaxing in a surreal steam-filled world, you won’t want to miss a visit to the rustic Secret Lagoon!

Meet us at our Drumbó Base Camp at Drumboddsstaðir at the exact time stated on your voucher. The base camp is located in the Golden Circle area and it’s just a 15-minute ride from the famous Geysir geothermal area. We kindly ask you to arrive at least 15 minutes before departure.

  • All the required equipment for your jet boat adventure is provided. A quality waterproof suit will keep you warm and dry, so you don’t need to bring a change of clothes. However, we highly recommend bringing warm layers and sturdy shoes.
