Silver Circle Sightseeing Tour in West Iceland

Our adventure begins after picking you up from Reykjavik. The first stop is Deildartunguhver - the most powerful hot spring in Europe. Every second, 47 gallons (180 liters) of water emerge from the ground at a scorching 207°F (97°C). While swimming here isn’t an option, the geothermal energy warms homes across Iceland—demonstrating Iceland’s innovative use of natural resources.

Next, we arrive at Hraunfossar, a series of small yet spectacular waterfalls. This unique site, formed over 1,000 years ago by glacial waters weaving through the lava field, fuses volcanic history with breathtaking scenery. Nearby is Barnafoss, or “Children’s Falls,” which flows through a narrow, winding ravine. Your expert guide will share the fascinating legend behind its name—whether fact or myth, we’ll leave it for you to decide!

In the charming village of Húsafell, the tour takes a personalized twist. Here, you’ll go off into new adventures depending on what you choose beforehand.

Since all three experiences occur simultaneously, you’ll need to choose one.

If relaxation calls to you, the Húsafell Canyon Baths, nestled in a black-rock ravine, invite you to take a bathing suit and relax. This serene setting allows you to unwind while taking in the surrounding beauty. 

You can’t leave Iceland without seeing the Icelandic glaciers. Or, in this case, being inside one! Into the Glacier takes you into the core of Langjökull, Iceland’s second-largest glacier. Walk through blue-ice tunnels, peek into carved chambers, and uncover the fascinating history of this icy giant.

If volcanic formations captivate you, the Viðgelmir Lava Cave tour makes for a remarkable exploration of one of Iceland’s largest lava tubes! Created during a volcanic eruption in 930 CE, this massive cave combines man-made paths with untouched natural beauty, giving you a glimpse into Icelandic geology.

After your chosen experience, we’ll all return to Húsafell before going to the next attraction of the tour.

Our final stop brings us to the Reykholt Horse Farm, home to the iconic Icelandic horses. Meet and pet these friendly and world-famous animals known for their unique gait and gentle demeanor. Capture unforgettable memories with a group photo before we head back to Reykjavik.

As the tour concludes, we’ll return you to your designated drop-off point in Reykjavik, leaving you with a day filled with incredible experiences and lasting memories.

Your booked tour includes one of the following activities: Langjökull Ice Tunnel, Viðgelmir Lava Cave, or Húsafell Canyon Baths. It is not possible to experience all three on this tour.
