Itinerary

This full day of sightseeing combines Iceland's iconic Golden Circle Route with a relaxing after-soak in Iceland's oldest swimming pool. You'll be accompanied by one of our friendly guides, who will take you back to a time when Iceland was young, to the birthplace of today's democracy, and bring you face to face with the raw power of nature.

See ÞingvellirGeysir, and the majestic Gullfoss Waterfall, and follow up with a languid soak amidst the gorgeous natural scenery of the Secret Lagoon. Escape Reykjavik for the iconic landmarks of the Golden Circle and enjoy the country's legendary hot spring culture.

Thingvellir Park Landscape

Thingvellir National Park is a famous UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its unique history and geology. It is set on the famous Mid-Atlantic Ridge that marks the border between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. We’ll see this craggy, ever-expanding gap – the only land border between America and Europe! Iceland’s first parliament, Althingi, was held in these dramatic surroundings for centuries from its inception in 930 C.E. Stand on the spot where the Lawspeaker stood and look down on the flooded fissures and church below.

geysir geothermal hot spring in iceland

The next stop on the Golden Circle is the Geysir geothermal area, where you can walk amidst the bubbling hot springs, boiling fumaroles, and erupting geysers. You’ll see the Great Geysir, a now-dormant feature that gives the area and all geysers their name, along with Strokkur, which regularly tosses boiling water and steam up to 40 meters into the air. Geyser eruptions are one of nature’s greatest shows and make for some of the best photos you will ever take!

Gullfoss waterfall on sunset aerial view

Rated as one of the ten best waterfalls in the world, Gullfoss or the Golden Falls is the crown jewel of the Golden Circle Route. Its frothy white waters flow from Langjökull Glacier and turn golden as they cascade down the emerald valley below. Gullfoss is undeniably one of the most iconic waterfalls in Iceland and the perfect way to finish our epic Golden Circle Tour.

secret lagoon sunset view with people bathing

The Secret Lagoon in the geothermal village of Fludir is one of the oldest swimming pools in Iceland. Its warm waters remain at a constant 38-40 degrees throughout the year, making it the ideal getaway to enjoy a relaxing soak amid stunning natural scenery. Expect to see moss-covered lava fields, wispy steam plumes, and a small erupting geyser while you bathe in its warm waters. We’ll sort out the entrance and transport, so you can kick back and enjoy Iceland’s incredible hot spring culture.
