Hvammsvik Hot Springs is located on a 1200-acre private estate. This provides a peaceful environment for relaxation only 45 minutes away from Reykjavik. Immersing yourself in the natural hot springs on the ocean's edge, you'll feel like your worries are getting far away.
Hvammsvik Hot Springs offers eight geothermal pools of various sized and temperatures, a steam bath, an on-site bar and restaurant, and outdoor showers. The whole design is inspired by the rich history dating back to the 12th century.
The hot springs have various temperatures, ranging between 10°C in the Atlantic Ocean and 42°C in the hottest spring. So, you can cool off in the ocean after warming up in a geothermal hot spring! There's also a steam bath, outdoor showers, and an on-site bar near the springs. The hot springs are filled with geothermal water coming from 1400 meters underground mixed with water from the ocean. The steady natural circulation keeps the water clean and of the best quality.

Opening hours:
In winter (August 21 - May 31), Hvammsvik Hot Springs are open daily from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm (last entry at 7 pm). Stormur Bistro is open from 11 am to 7:30 pm.
In summer (June 1 - August 20), Hvammsvik Hot Springs are open daily from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm (last entry at 8:30 pm). Stormur Bistro is open from 12:00 to 8:30 pm.
Restrictions may apply on certain dates and times. These are reflected in the availability of open slots on those days as seen in the booking engine.
We strongly recommend booking in advance of your arrival to avoid wait times or disappointment. We do accept walk-in guests, provided we have availability at the time. We cannot guarantee entry if you arrive at a time different from your booking. Once you check out from the Hot Springs, you cannot re-enter without buying a new ticket.
