Information

Iceland is a land of contrasts, with icy glaciers and natural hot springs lying side-by-side. It isn’t easy to fit the best of Iceland into one tour, but we have managed to fit the best into the perfect 4-day tour of Iceland!

On the first day, you’ll explore the gems of South Coast, including the famous Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach and a natural ice cave. On day two, you’ll visit a glacier lagoon near Iceland’s newest UNESCO World Heritage site, Vatnajokull National Park. Day three will take you to the iconic Golden Circle, while the fourth and final day focuses on Snaefellsnes Peninsula, known as “Iceland in miniature.”

Our ultimate 4-day tour is available all year round, so you can explore the best sites in Iceland in any season!

Your tour guide will pick you up from your chosen location in Reykjavik. You’ll have time to get to know the rest of the group as the minibus heads towards the South Coast.

On the way, we’ll stop to see Seljalandsfoss, a mesmerizing waterfall you can walk behind! We’ll also stop at Skógafoss, an enormous and powerful waterfall.

We’ll move on once you’ve gotten your fill of stunning waterfall pictures. The next stop is Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, one of the most beautiful non-tropical beaches in the world. Take your time to appreciate the beauty of the beach and the Reynisdrangar basalt columns that tower over the water.

After lunch in the charming village of Vik, you’ll make your way towards Skaftafell National Park, home to glaciers, ice caves, and outstanding hiking trails.

Prepare to experience the incredible power of Icelandic nature as we walk into a natural ice cave. Breathe in and allow the fresh cold air to fill your lungs as you stand under bright blue ice.

After a day full of adventure and first-time experiences, you’ll head back to the hotel for some well-deserved rest.

Didn’t get enough of Iceland’s glaciers during yesterday’s adventures?  Then today is your lucky day! We start the morning with a trip to the famous Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon

You’ll have the chance to take an optional boat ride and sail around the lagoon’s glittering icebergs. Afterward, you’ll visit Diamond Beach, where deep blue blocks of ice dramatically contrast with the black sand. On sunny days, the icebergs shine like shimmering diamonds.

On the way back to the hotel in Reykjavik, you’ll stop at amazing locations handpicked by your guide, depending on the weather and season.

Your guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Reykjavik in the morning. Day three is all about the famous Golden Circle route.

The first stop is Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site and important historical landmark. The park is home to the first parliament in the world, Althingi. It’s also the place where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates visibly move and pull apart from each other right in the middle of the park. This creates a stunning rift valley as well as Silfra fissure, where the plates pull apart underwater.

We’ll next move on to the Geysir geothermal area, where large and small geysers spout hot water from deep beneath the ground. Enjoy this natural phenomenon before we make our way to the mighty Gullfoss Waterfall, an iconic waterfall with special ties to Iceland’s history.

The final stop for the day is Gamla Laugin or the Secret Lagoon, Iceland’s oldest natural swimming pool. Relax in the warm water of the geothermal pool before heading back to Reykjavik.

Do you remember Jules Verne’s book Journey to the Center of the Earth? If you’ve ever wondered what the passage to the center of the Earth is like, today is your chance to experience it! The Snæfellsjökull Glacier on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula is a magical place in the northwest of Iceland.

Today’s highlights include the seals’ paradise of Ytri Tunga Beach and picture-perfect Arnarstapi, a small fishing village on the way to Vatnshellir Lava Cave. You’ll then have the option to visit the cave and explore an underground world beneath the thick lava fields.

Our next stop, Djúpalónssandur Pebble Beach,  is the source of many Icelandic fables. Make sure to ask your guide about the many shipwrecks that happened on the beach!

One of the last stops is Mt. Kirkjufell, the most photographed mountain in Iceland. Don’t miss the chance to take a picture of this beautiful peak, which towers over the charming village of Grundarfjörður.

On the way back to Reykjavik, we’ll stop at the Gerðuberg basalt columns, the longest belt of basalt columns in the country!

We’ll arrive back in Reykjavik at around 8 p.m.

  • We’ll pick you up from your hotel or a nearby meeting point in Reykjavik. The pickup begins at 8 a.m. and takes up to 30 minutes.
  • You’ll return to Reykjavik at around 8 p.m. We’ll drop you off at the same place we picked you up.
  • Please bring warm clothes, a waterproof jacket, waterproof pants, and hiking boots.
  • We recommend dressing in layers.
  • We usually visit the Crystal Ice Cave, but if it’s inaccessible, we’ll visit another ice cave instead.
  • From April to October, we go to Katla Ice Cave. If it’s inaccessible, we’ll do a glacier hike instead.
