Your guides avoid the busy "tourist" areas in Algonquin that others go to - the places in Algonquin Park that you camp in are secluded and well off the beaten track. It is also the best place in the world to see moose, hear a wolf howling in the distance, or see a beaver. Perfect for wildlife viewing, or just relaxing.
Only 3 hours north of Toronto, Algonquin Provincial Park is Ontario's oldest park and one of the largest in Canada. It boasts over 7600 square kilometers, with over 2000 fresh water lakes. Within its borders can be found deer, moose, beaver, wolves, bears and many other wild animals, all in their natural habitats. This park is so large and so varied that one end of the park can have entirely different weather from the other end!

The 3-day canoeing adventure is perfect for anyone with a tight schedule but would like to experience Algonquin Provincial Park. This is an excellent introduction to wilderness camping and canoeing and is suitable for all skill levels. Algonquin Park is a very popular summer destination. Warm, sunny days, cool freshwater lakes and clear star-filled nights contribute to an unequaled setting for a camping experience. The park has a large wildlife population and you can expect to see moose, bears, deer and more.
The 4-day tour is for people with a sense of adventure will love this canoe trip! It is geared towards beginners who want to sample more than 3 days of Algonquin wilderness. By running them midweek you will also avoid much of the crowds found on busier weekend routes.
The 5-day tour is an exciting canoe trip into the heart of the world famous Algonquin Park. This huge wilderness Park is the oldest, and one of the largest in Ontario. Within its borders can be found moose, deer, beaver, hawks, eagles, bears, and even wolves! For 5 days you will be living much like the Indians and early explorers did. Traveling by 2 person canoe, you paddle across many lakes, portage over forest trails, swim in clear clean waters, cook by a fire, and sleep in tents under the stars! The group will cover about 10-20 km per day of wilderness canoe routes, with 1 day out for hiking or relaxing by the water! We can almost guarantee that we will come across a moose or two grazings by the water's edge! If we're lucky we may even hear wolves howling in the distance at night!

You are eased into the wilderness with a three-day stay at the cozy Eco-Lodge. Here you can learn some basic canoe skills, learn how to build a campfire, and learn about the wild animals you might encounter in Algonquin Park. After your three leisurely days at the Algonquin Eco-Lodge, you will drive up to Highway 60, farther north in Algonquin Park, and meet your canoe guide and the rest of the group. Day 1
Pickup at Finch Subway Station (optional - if you choose to drive yourself we will meet you up north). After a leisurely drive through the heart of Ontario farmland and cottage country we will have lunch on the shores of Rock Lake in Algonquin Park. With our "Expedition weight" kevlar canoes we will paddle into one of the interior lakes of Algonquin Park (Pen Lake). Before we start our guide will instruct everyone on the necessary skills and techniques for canoeing. After this 3-day canoe trip, you won't be an expert but you will know how to pack and steer a canoe. After a 3 hour paddle (including a 300m portage) we will arrive at our wilderness camp. Since this is a true interior wilderness camp we will have to bring everything with us, including the tents.
Once we establish camp, with the help of our experienced guide, we are free to explore the lake we are on. There are several large rapids that were once used as log chutes that are quite interesting. Also, in this area it is quite common to see moose grazing by the edge of the lake - we have seen over a half dozen in a 2 day period here!
Dinner will consist of fresh food, prepared on site, and enjoyed by the side of a blazing campfire! Afterward, we can sit and watch the Milky Way rise slowly above our heads. The sky is so clear in Algonquin Park that you can even count satellites passing by! And if we're really lucky we may even hear wolves howling in the distance! This is real Canadian camping!
Day 2
Today is a day of exploration. We can spend it exploring the lake we are on, by canoe, looking for moose, or perhaps do another portage and canoe up a meandering river. If we decide to try another lake one option is to do a short portage past an old dam used for logging, and then canoe the slow-moving waters of the South Madawaska River. Since we will have to get out of our canoes to pull them over several beaver dams be sure to bring shoes or sandals for the water!
Day 3
After early morning breakfast, we pack up camp and start the paddle home. The early start is a great opportunity to see wild life (if we are lucky) coming to the lakeshore to drink.
We will get back to our vehicle about 11 am and start the drive back to Toronto. You will be dropped off at Finch subway station at about 4 pm.

Day 3
After breakfast, we will roll up our tents, pack up our gear, load the canoes, and paddle out for a new camp. We have several small portages to deal with, and 3 lakes to canoe across. Our destination is Galeairy Lake, a beautiful lake on the east edge of Algonquin Park. After finding a nice campsite, we will go abut setting up camp. By now everyone is an expert at setting up their tents and collecting firewood, so there will be ample time to relax, swim, read a book, or even go fishing for dinner!
Day 4
After early morning breakfast, we pack up camp and start the journey home. An early start gives us the chance to spot moose or deer as they come to the lake to drink at daybreak.
We will get back to our vehicle about 11 am and start the drive back to Toronto. You will be dropped off at Finch subway station at about 4 pm.

With our "Expedition weight" Kevlar canoes we will paddle into the interior lakes of Algonquin Park. Day 2
Today we will canoe even farther into the interior of Algonquin Park, exploring three more lakes. We will encounter some short portages and find our camp for the night on Lake Louisa. This is one of the most beautiful lakes in Algonquin Park.
Day 3
As we have already covered a fair bit of ground, we will take the day off from paddling and remain at the same campsite for 1 more night. By now everyone is an expert at setting up their tents and collecting firewood, so there will be ample time to relax, swim, read a book, explore the shores of Lake Louisa, or try your hand at fishing for our dinner!
Day 4
After a traditional Canadian bush breakfast, we pack up camp and start canoeing to Pen Lake. This is a challenging day, but since we are well rested from yesterday, we should easily be able to manage the 2.8-kilometer portage that awaits us. We will arrive at Pen Lake by mid-afternoon. After setting up camp for our final night, we will have the opportunity to relax, and then enjoy the sites and sounds that surround us.
Day 5
Our final day begins with a hearty breakfast. We pack up camp and start the journey home. We will canoe about 3 hours to civilization and will get back to our vehicle at about 2 pm. We then start the drive back to Toronto. For those who requested transportation to/from Toronto, you will be dropped off at Finch subway station at about 7 pm.
