Remote Fishing Lodge on Kluane Lake in Yukon

| CA-CA-RRA

Boat-accessible lodge in the heart of the Yukon wilderness

Overview

This is Yukon wilderness fishing at its finest set in the spectacular Talbot Arm of Kluane Lake. This full-service lodge can be reached by boat, and these fishing packages include transfers from Whitehorse. For non-fishers, this is an exceptional Yukon wilderness experience, with hiking and wildlife-watching opportunities available right from the lodge.

Highlights

  • Kluane Lake
  • Northern Pike Fishing
  • Ruby Range Mountains
  • Boat-in or Fly-in Access
  • Lake Trout Fishing
  • Arctic Grayling Fishing

Surrounded by the Ruby Range Mountains, the fjord-like Talbot Arm of Kluane Lake is home to some of the best fishing in Yukon.  Set in a spectacular location, this comfortable rustic lodge and lakefront cabins are your home base to discover the untouched wilderness of Yukon’s Kluane Lake and fish for lake trout, arctic grayling, and northern pike.

Kluane Lake is very famous for its Lake Trout fishing, and lakers in the 30-40 pound range are not uncommon. Arctic Grayling are found near the lodge at the creek mouths.  Northern Pike can be found in the shallower bays and cruising along the steep drop-offs. Talbot Arm is sheltered from the winds by the Ruby Range Mountains, so most days at the lodge will be a fishing day!  The lodge practices catch and release for all large fish, but a few smaller fish may kept for a delicious meal back at the lodge.

These trips are unguided, but you will be given lots of advice to make sure you know the fishing spots, handling of boats and use the correct fishing gear.  You can come and go as you please and fish as much as you like. Of course, you can always hire an experienced fishing guide at the lodge, too.  Arrangements can also be made to fly into the lodge by floatplane from Whitehorse and even take a scenic sightseeing flight over Kluane National Park.

If fishing is not enough, this location is perfect for hiking, wildlife viewing, and photography.  You can unwind and let your mind wander in this peaceful, natural setting.  Dare to venture into one of the most surreal places on Earth on this magnificent Yukon wilderness fishing adventure.
