Owned and operated by the same family for over 50 years and three generations. The Canadian owners of this fly-in fishing lodge have many years of experience hosting anglers from all over the USA and Canada. They can confidently provide personalized service for all types of guided fishing lodge vacations and welcome all anglers and corporate groups to their full-service, all-inclusive facility on the Winnipeg River in the wilderness of Manitoba. They take great pride in every aspect of their facilities and fishing experiences, and it shows. They live here, they raise their families here, and they love it here, and you will too. Unwind, rejuvenate and fish for walleye, northern pike, and smallmouth bass in a remarkable location on the Canadian Shield in Manitoba. Welcome!
Located on an island on the vast Winnipeg River, about 150km northeast of Winnipeg, near the Ontario border, this amazing full-service fly-in lodge exemplifies everything Canadian. Here you will find Canadian history, incredible nature, wildlife, clean water, tremendous fishing, and only a 20-minute flight. But if you don’t want to fly, there is a boat-in option too. While this is the Winnipeg River, it is wide and lake-like and is >1 km wide in places.
This provides the angler with shelter on even the windiest days, on a gently moving water body that pushes bait and fish throughout the system. It is actually considered one of Canada’s largest lakes, starting from Lake of the Woods near Kenora, Ontario, then flows northwest, through southeast Manitoba, and eventually empties into Lake Winnipeg. There are so many places to fish, with endless structures, islands, reefs, inlets, bays, and creek mouths. The main sport fish species here are walleye (up to 29”), smallmouth bass (up to 21”), and northern pike (up to 44”).
Since the lodge is in southern Canada, the summer fishing season is long, starting in May and going into October.
It’s all here, shouldn’t you be?!
There are five private cabins on the property, each accommodating from 5 to 12 guests. Parties are not required to share accommodations with other guests. The cabins are all newly upgraded to include the comforts of your own home. All cabins have two bathrooms, fridges, separate bedrooms with double and single beds, linens, new mattresses, satellite TV, wood stove, heating/air-conditioning units, and a spectacular waterfront view off each dock and patio door.
After a delicious breakfast, your days will be spent out on the water fishing with an experienced guide in comfortable 18’ aluminum boats with 50 HP 4-stroke motors. All boats have padded swivel seats, full safety gear, and sonar units to help find the fish and structure. For lunch, you will head to a scenic spot on the shore and enjoy a terrific shore lunch of freshly caught walleye. This is a Canadian fishing tradition that is not to be missed! For dinner, the lodge’s chef will prepare an amazing 3-course dinner that may include steak, prime rib, chicken, and salmon. If you’re not tired of fishing yet, head back out on the water after dinner for an evening of fishing on your own near the lodge. At sunset, head back to the lodge and sit around the campfire to share stories and plan your strategies for tomorrow’s Great Canadian fishing adventures.

A typical day at the lodge itinerary:
In the morning, you will wake up with the smell of fresh coffee, which will be delivered directly to your cabin. At around 7:30 AM, we'll indulge in a hearty Canadian breakfast prepared by our chef daily in the lodge. If you're not that hungry in the morning, try something on the lighter side – this could be hot cereal, fruit, and toast.
After breakfast (at 8:00 AM), we'll meet our guide on the dock for our first day out on the water. At about 12:00 PM, we'll meet for shore lunch at one of the most scenic spots along the water. Your guide will prepare your freshly caught fish in front of you on an open fire. Each day we'll enjoy two different ways of preparing fish along with the other fixes - potatoes, beans, fruit, freshly baked cookies, etc.
After our little mid-day feast, we'll be back on the water and spend the afternoon pursuing the fish of your choice – smallmouth bass, northern pike, or walleye. Around 5:00 PM, we'll return to the lodge after the eventful day and have time to share stories, relax, take a nap, enjoy a hot tub, or read a book.
The evening dinner starts at 6:30 PM. Here you will enjoy a 3-course meal prepared exclusively by our chef in the lodge. You can choose a baked salmon over the feature meal whenever you prefer. There will be a selection of fine wines available during the dinner.
After dinner, we'll have an open evening for any activity you choose. If you want to spend more time on the water, dock help is available to assist you with an evening of fishing close to the lodge. On-site activities such as horseshoes, a pool table, the gym, a hot tub, TV, Internet, or visiting around the campfire are popular options.
