The tour starts with a drive through the areas of Old Montreal and Westmount where you get to visit and marvel at Mount Royal. The city of Montreal is known to have derived its name from the Mount Royal (or Mont Royal in French). As you drive to the mountain, you will be passing by some of the city’s most famous attractions – including the world-famous St. Joseph’s Oratory, which is the largest church in Canada. From the top of Mount Royal, you can capture stunning views of the entire cityscape.
The next stop is at the famous Observatoire Place Ville Marie – it’s also referred to as Observatoire 360. You will be taken up 188 meters (616 feet) to the observation deck of the tower in an elevator. As you reach the top of the famous observatory, you can enjoy mesmerizing views of the entire city in all its glory.
Then, you will head to the Notre-Dame Basilica. It is a famous church featuring Gothic Revival architecture along with impressive views of the glass-stained windows adorning its interiors.
The final stop of the guided tour is going to be at the city’s Old Port. Here, you will hop on the St. Lawrence River Cruise and enjoy a relaxing 90-minute journey across the beautiful river.
