For those who are new to climbing, multi-pitch rock climbing involves multiple legs for climbing up the rock face. Every pitch tends to be between 100 to 200 feet (30 to 60 meters) in length. The average route of a typical multi-pitch path ranges from 300 feet to 1,500 feet (91 to 457 meters) in length  and can be accomplished in half a day.
