Tincup Lake has an outstanding reputation and a longstanding history of Yukon sport fishing and the wealth of fish in its northern Canadian waters. Lake Trout, Arctic Grayling, Northern Pike, as well as burbot and whitefish are found here in good numbers.  Whether you like to spin cast, troll, or fly-fish, you will have success in the beautiful waters of Tincup Lake.  The lodge has a catch-and-release policy for all fish to maintain the integrity and sustainability of this remarkable Yukon wilderness fishery.

You will have full use of modern Lund boats with reliable motors to head out fishing and give it a try anytime you like.  You can even fish from the dock and along shore close to the lodge. A creek flows right through camp too, and where it enters the lake is a great spot to fish for arctic grayling.  In late summer you can head to where Tincup Creek leaves the lake, and with a little luck you may see chinook salmon spawning. There are also canoes, kayaks and stand up paddleboards that you can use for quiet exploring and searching for wildlife along the shoreline.  This is truly an amazing place!

These Yukon fishing trips are unguided, and honestly, you don’t need a guide here, but you will be given lots of advice to make sure you know the fishing spots, handling of boats, and use of the correct fishing tackle.  There is a good selection of fishing gear and tackle included. Best of all, you can come and go as you please and fish as much as you like. Of course, you can always hire an experienced fishing guide at the lodge to show you around the lake, and they will provide full fishing instruction, too! This is advised for novice fishers and to maximize your time on shorter trips.

The lodge’s quiet and isolated location offers genuine Yukon wilderness relaxation in Canada’s North, far away from the stress of everyday life. Just imagine!  From the veranda of your waterfront Yukon cabin, you can enjoy perfect views of the lake and the mountains that surround the lake and think about tomorrow’s fishing trip and endless adventures yet to come.  There is a remarkable diversity of flora and fauna right from your doorstep. When you aren’t fishing, this is an ideal location for relaxing and taking it all in while surrounded by Yukon’s wilderness at its unspoiled best.  Welcome to Yukon!

Aerial view of fly in fishing lodge in Canada

The main lodge and cabins were completely renovated in 2017, with great attention to detail, and to ensure a complete guest experience. Your hosts take great pride in what they have built here and share their passion and knowledge of the Yukon with you. This is what true Canadian wilderness comfort looks like!

The facilities consist of a main lodge building and three slightly smaller free-standing log cabins.  Each cabin is divided into two good-sized accommodation units. The lodge and cabins are built of Canadian red cedar, which creates a very pleasant and warm living space during your stay.

The cabins have a cozy deck out front overlooking the lake. There are two rooms within each cabin, and each room has its own private bathroom with a toilet, hot water shower, and sink.  LED lighting, solar-powered electricity, and a wood stove for heat are also provided in the rooms. On arrival, you will find two freshly made-up single beds with comfortable mattresses. They can easily re-configure these to form one double bed. Mesmerizing paintings, the work of a local artist, create a unique atmosphere inside your room and welcome you to Yukon.

The main lodge has a cozy living area with a wood stove, as well as a dining area and a separate kitchen. Enjoy the lounge and bar in this amazing lodge on the shores of Tin Cup Lake.  The whole lodge is running nearly with 100% solar power. The large, outdoor cedar deck overlooks the lake with amazing views and will keep you wondering why you aren’t out fishing.  The wood-fired sauna and hot tub are lakeside and only steps away from the main lodge, so you can literally immerse yourself and enjoy the amazing Yukon views at Tincup Lake.

Sandwich with mushrooms

This renowned Yukon lodge is not only famous for its excellent fishing but is also highly rated for its very tasty food prepared by your skilled chef. Upon arrival at the lodge, you will enjoy a welcoming drink on the deck or inside the lodge.  Each morning, you will enjoy an amazing, hearty breakfast. For lunch, there will be exquisite soups, salads, and fresh sandwiches, plus snacks throughout the day, and bread is baked fresh each morning.  Moreover, your chef looks forward to spoiling you with varied and international cuisine for your evening supper.  Yum!

Your attentive hosts make a point of using the freshest local produce they can find. They grow their own salad greens and herbs in their amazing Yukon greenhouse just behind the lodge, with the best Yukon wild mushrooms and native berries foraged from the local forest nearby. It doesn’t get more local than this!

Coffee, tea, and freshly home-baked sweet treats are available for you to enjoy throughout the day.  If you require vegetarian or vegan options, just let us know; no worries. If you are heading out fishing or hiking for the day, the staff will prepare an excellent boxed lunch for you to enjoy at a lakeside picnic spot. This is such an amazing, great Canadian Yukon adventure!  You need to come here!
