Big fishing cottage with green roof in Canada

From the moment you arrive, you will feel that you have stepped back to a time on the river when anglers enjoyed a privileged salmon fishing retreat.  This amazing lodge has been welcoming guests to the Grand Cascapedia River for more than a century.

Hosting up to eight guests, you will feel like you’ve come home. The living and dining rooms both overlook the Grand Cascapedia River and still have their original century-old fireplaces, creating a relaxing and cozy atmosphere. The main lodge has four large double bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. One of the lodge’s most enjoyed features is the wrap-around porch and cigar-friendly screened deck that offers you a spectacular view of the river, where countless fishing tales have been told.

Just steps from the lodge, you will find a charming Guest House, which is a private mini version of the main lodge. It offers guests two single bedrooms, a private bathroom, a living room, and its own private porch overlooking the Grand Cascapedia River. This guest house is perfect for hosting a couple, two anglers requesting a private room or a small family.

This lodge also features a functional Rod Room. Thoughtfully designed, it offers anglers a secure location to house their rods, reels, and gear. Custom rod holders line the wall, and expertly crafted wooden lockers offer private storage for each angler to dry their gear overnight. The Rod Room always has fresh coffee in the morning and refreshing drinks for your return from the river. It is where you will meet your guide and anticipate the days of fishing to come.

Two men caught salmon in river

Guests have the opportunity to fish on three of Gaspe, Quebec’s most well-known and productive Atlantic Salmon rivers. The Bonaventure River is legendary for its water clarity and offers its anglers a captivating sight-casting experience. The Petite Cascapedia provides an intimate fly-fishing adventure, creating a tranquil haven for those seeking both the thrill of a catch and the solace of nature’s embrace. The world-famous Grand Cascapedia River, home of the Cascapedia Giants, will create memories to last a lifetime. The rivers of the Gaspe Peninsula are renowned for their crystal-clear waters, with shades of turquoise and emerald, their impeccable purity, and consistent runs of Atlantic Salmon.

You will enjoy a full-day fishing experience with a riverside lunch prepared by your guides. During the month of June, anglers will fish a combination of casting from traditional 26-foot river canoes and wading. July and August present anglers with the opportunity to walk & wade during the action-packed dry fly season. September is an exciting month due to seasonal changes on the river, so anglers can expect both wade and canoe fishing depending on water levels.

Fly fishers of all ages and skill levels are welcome on these trips. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a beginner, your fishing adventure is designed to provide a welcoming and enjoyable fly-fishing experience. Your professional guides are great teachers, too.
