Self-Guided Fishing in Manitoba, Canada

Little Sass Lake outpost camp is in the Atikaki Provincial Park, on the Sasaginnigak River system. Fish for Walleye and Northern Pike among structures such as islands, reefs, sandbars and waterfalls. This lake extends over seven miles and has a reputation as one of Manitoba's most productive Walleye and Northern Pike fisheries.

We are the only outpost cabin on the lake. This 2-bedroom, 8-person cabin is located on the south shore in the middle of the lake. Inside, you will find hot and cold running water, a private shower and bathroom sink, a full kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, and dishes, one large refrigerator-freezer unit and a gas stove. Outside, a propane BBQ and fish cooker are supplied. This cabin is equipped with solar lights and a wood stove for heat. Enjoy your morning coffee on the covered deck overlooking the water's edge.

Little Sass Lake is equipped with four 14' foot Lund boats with 9.9 HP four-stroke Yamaha motors. We supply lifejackets, swivel seats, landing nets, paddles, anchors and gas.

Guests staying at Little Sass Lake will drive to the floatplane base in Lac du Bonnet, about 1 hour northeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Your flight to Little Sass Lake is 88 miles which will take approximately 45 minutes by float plane.

Napigon Lake is a 55-minute flight from our Float base in Lac du Bonnet, located 100 miles Northeast. This camp is in the Atikaki Provincial Park, on the Leon River. With 8 miles of water to explore, be sure to travel up the south river to another small lake with incoming falls. As a smaller body of water, this lake is great for your 3-4 day fishing adventure. No need to worry about losing quality fishing time to high winds, as rough water is rare. Spend your days fishing for Walleye and Northern Pike. Find some of Manitoba's hottest Walleye holes.

Napigon Lake is equipped with four fourteen-foot Lund boats with 8 HP Yamaha motors. We supply lifejackets, swivel seats, landing nets, paddles, anchors and gas.

Guests staying at Napigon Lake will drive to our floatplane base in Lac du Bonnet or fly to Winnipeg, where we can assist in arranging round-trip transportation to and from our Float base. Your flight to Napigon Lake is 100 miles which will take approximately 55 minutes by float plane.

Upper Lake is a 45-minute flight from our Float base in Lac du Bonnet, located 89 miles Northeast. This camp is in the Atikaki Provincial Park, on the Sasaginnigak River system. This is an excellent location for fishermen who do not want to fight high winds and rough water. This lake extends over eight miles, with its widest point approximately three-quarters of a mile wide. Spend your days fishing for Walleye and Pike. As one of our best Walleye lakes, you can expect to catch many. Northern Pike in this lake is usually found in shallow bays.
