This multi-day hiking tour takes you through some of the most scenic national parks in Canada. Starting in Banff, the expedition reveals Canada’s profound natural beauty. Our guides will tell you about the history of charming hamlets hidden among the Rocky Mountains on the border between Alberta and British Columbia.

During the tour, you’ll hike to turquoise lakes, and mighty rivers fed by majestic glaciers. Wonderful views open up from the summits of the mountains and every hike reveals yet more breathtaking scenery.

On most days, there’s a range of outdoor activities that you can choose from in addition to hiking from mountain biking to canoeing, and wildlife you name it and we offer it!

The Banff, Yoho and Jasper parks combine to make up one of the largest national parks in Canada. The area is home to a range of wild animals, such as bears, caribou, moose, deer, elk, sheep, mountain goats, coyotes, and wolves.

During this tour, you’ll be staying at hotels with breakfast included in the package.

A shuttle service will pick you up from Calgary airport and take you to your hotel.

We’ll have a pre-tour information meeting at the hotel. The rest of the day is for you to enjoy. You can relax at the hotel, or explore the cosmopolitan city of Calgary.

After breakfast, a bus will take us to Banff National Park, the oldest national park in Canada, which was established in 1885. We’ll check into a hotel in the charming holiday town of Banff.

Our first hike will take us to the shores of the glacial Minnewanka Lake, the second longest lake in the mountain parks of the Canadian Rockies. We’ll hike through spectacular rocky shores, majestic stands of aspen trees and enjoy incredible views of craggy peaks. We’ll hike for around three hours and breathe in spectacular views.

There’s much more to Minnewanka Lake than meets the eye. There was once a charming summer village called Minnewanka Landing right where the lake is right now. A hydroelectric plant and a dam were built nearby, burying the village under glacier-fed, ice-cold waters.

We’ll spend the day hiking high above the tree line, around glorious alpine meadows. One of the possible hikes is a 4.5-mi (7.5-km) tour to a small charming lake. We’ll hike for around six hours in total and see some stunning sights of the park.

In the afternoon, you might choose to relax in Banff and dip into steaming hot pools with mesmerizing views of the cliffs around you. Banff is a vibrant tourist town with many shops and charming local cafes. People from all over the world come to visit this spellbinding place and fall in love with it.

Today, we’ll hike around the picturesque Lake Louise. Mesmerizing turquoise waters, rugged mountains, and mighty glaciers create a dramatic and unforgettable scene.

We’ll visit the historic Lake Agnes Tea House and enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view with our delicious hot brew!

Depending on the preferences of the group, we might hike even further into the Plain of Six Glaciers or climb up a summit for yet more remarkable views.

We’ll spend the night at a hotel in the charming hamlet of Lake Louise. The area is popular among winter sports enthusiasts, as the Lake Louise Ski Resort offers great skiing facilities in winter.

crossing a small river in canada at summer

You can choose between a whitewater rafting adventure on the Kicking Horse River or a hiking tour in the stunning Yoho National Park.

The rafting tour involves a side trip to Golden, a town in British Columbia. Some of the highlights of the town include the longest freestanding timber frame bridge and Mount Seven, a popular spot for extreme sports enthusiasts.

If you prefer hiking, the guide will take you through a pass, surrounded by blooming flowers that features glorious views of the famous Emerald Lake and the second largest waterfall in Canada, Takakkaw Falls.

We’ll move towards the heart of the Rockies and take short hikes along the Icefields Parkway, for views of Peyto Lake and Bow Summit.

The amazing Columbia Icefields feed rivers that eventually flow into three different oceans! One of those is the impressive Athabasca River. We’ll glimpse at it from far above, once we hike up a windy ridge, reaching up 7525 ft (2260 m). This is also the best spot to absorb the true beauty and power of the Saskatchewan Glacier.

We’ll spend the night in an alpine town in Jasper National Park.

Today is all about exploring the fascinating Jasper National Park. Jasper is the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies and it offers a whole spectrum of activities to choose from. There are some great spots for wildlife viewing, swimming, mountain biking, and canoeing. Pick from any of these activities, or spend the day hiking through the park instead.

Prepare to encounter wild animals, as the park is a sanctuary for a range of wildlife. It’s home to the black bear and the grizzly bear, moose, deer, caribou, elk, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, coyotes, and wolves.

powerful athabasca falls in canada

Before our departure, we’ll visit the mighty Athabasca Falls. The trail to the falls features some mesmerizing views of the nearby glaciers and mountain ranges. The incredible scenery will stick in the memory long after the tour.

Athabasca River runs more than 900 mi (1500km) from its headwaters in Jasper National Park into Lake Athabasca and is the second largest river in Alberta and the largest undammed river. The area around the river is rich with natural resources, such as coal, oil and gas, minerals, and oilsands.
