Get ready to explore to get up close and personal with polar bears on this 6-day adventure! Sounds a bit scary? Don't worry! We have everything in place to keep you safe.

On each day of this tour, you'll go on expeditions to the Churchill Wildlife Management Area with many polar bear sighting opportunities. There is other wildlife you can encounter within the area, including arctic foxes, moose, caribou, arctic hare, and other species. 

After exploring wildlife, you'll have a unique dog mushing experience and a Cultural and Heritage tour around the historic town of Churchill, Manitoba. After days filled with adventures, we'll return to the cozy log lodge, where you can try delicious local cuisine and relax in a room with comfy beds and all the modern amenities you need.

If the weather conditions are right, you can spend your evenings looking for magnificent northern lights.

Itinerary

Day 1: Exploring Winnipeg

Wild Polar Bear in Churchill Manitoba

On the first day of our tour, we’ll check into a hotel in downtown Winnipeg and have free time to explore the town independently.

On the second day, we’ll check out of the Winnipeg hotel and travel to the airport to catch a flight to Churchill, Manitoba. Arriving in Churchill, we’ll check into the Lodge, where we’ll spend the next three nights. During our stay, breakfasts and one dinner entrée at the Lazy Bear Café on the night of your choice are included.

On the third day of our tour, we’ll travel to the Churchill Wildlife Management Area for the Tundra tour. We’ll travel in custom-made Arctic Crawler™ tundra vehicles. During the tour, we’ll travel to the most common polar bear gathering spots on Hudson Bay. Those bears often don’t shy away from coming to a vehicle to say hi! Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages are included.

Many thrilling adventures await us on the fourth day of our 6-day tour. After a delicious breakfast, we’ll start our day with a Cultural and Heritage tour which will take us to Churchill and the surrounding area. You’ll explore many hot spots around town, including Cape Merry, an outside Polar Bear Holding Facility tour, and the famous plane crash site “Miss Piggy.”

The afternoon is dedicated to the Dog Mushing experience, including a 1-mile long ride with a pack of the most incredible and energetic dogs. The local dog musher will explain how the dogs are trained and share some interesting stories. Breakfast is included.

On the morning of the fifth day, we’ll check out of Lodge and head to the Churchill Wildlife Management Area to say goodbye to beloved bears. After that, we’ll get a transfer to the airport and leave Churchill for Winnipeg. Arriving at Winnipeg, we’ll check into the airport hotel. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages are included.

The last day is for checking out of the Winnipeg airport hotel and saying our goodbyes to each other. Breakfast is included.

Payment Details

Deposit and Taxes

  • Pricing does not include 5% GST, PST or accommodation tax.
  • A 50% deposit is required to hold your reservation.
  • Balance of payment is due 90 days before trip commencement.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY & DETAILS

After confirmation: all payments are non-refundable. A change fee of $600 plus GST per person will apply if a reservation needs to be changed to another adventure date within the same year, subject to availability. Travel insurance is recommended.
