You’ll arrive at our lovely ranch in the wilderness of the South Chilcotin Mountains. We’ll have a fun orientation to discover the highlights of the territory and its wildlife.

Later, we’ll head out to the bushcraft campsite, based in a tranquil and secluded area in the wilderness of British Columbia.

At the campsite, we’ll show you some tips and tricks to pick out the best location for your tarp shelter. You’ll have a chance to build one together with your new teammates.

Today you’ll learn some of the basic wilderness survival techniques, like building a fire, identifying edible plants, and purifying water.

building a shelter in a forest

Start off your day with the mouthwatering smell of freshly baked bush bread.

Today, you’ll construct shelters from all-natural materials and map out the surrounding areas. Our skilled instructors will help you improve your constructions by providing valuable feedback.

The second half of the day will be devoted to one of the most important bushcraft survival skills – finding food. We’ll discuss the selection and preparation of edible plants. Later, you’ll gather wild edibles yourself and prepare dinner.

Before returning to the team shelters for the night, you’ll learn to make some fire lighting tools such as a bow drill and start a fire from scratch.

You’ll learn to create natural cordage and assemble natural water filters. Try out your new skills by purifying water using a filter and stone boiling techniques.

The afternoon will be devoted to learning about medicinals in nature. You’ll combine your knowledge of theory with practice and gather some medicinal plants with your instructor.

Learn to use bushcraft tools safely, and even make them yourself! You’ll build your own hunting equipment, including axes and knives as well as eating, cooking, and wood-cutting tools.

In the evening, you’ll have an opportunity to put your newly acquired fire lighting skills into action by preparing a delicious dinner made of wild edibles.

As this is your last day in the wild, we’ll make sure we leave everything just as we found it. We’ll break down the team shelters and tidy up the campsite.

Before we leave the campsite, you’ll purify some water and brew some refreshing dandelion coffee.

Later in the day, we’ll return to the ranch and get ready to depart.
