Trout fishing lodge on Quesnel Lake in central British Columbia

This fishing and hiking lodge is a remote wilderness retreat on the far end of the East Arm of Quesnel Lake in central British Columbia. It is an ideal location for the avid trout fisherman looking for some excellent Rainbow Trout and Bull Trout opportunities.

Quesnel Lake is the deepest fresh water fjord lake in the world and home to world class Rainbow Trout fishing. The lodge is located right on the lake and nearby the Blue Lead Creek and Summit Creek. The location is ideal for lake and fly fishing. In addition to Rainbow Trout, there is also Lake trout, Whitefish, Kokanee Salmon (with valid conservation stamp on fishing license), and Bull Trout (catch and release).

The lodge also makes a great base location for nearby hiking and alpine heli-hiking in the area. With the Cariboo mountains in your own backyard the property offers extensive back country hiking terrain. Helicopters can be arranged to fly you over the mountain range to incredible heli-hiking locations with views you will not soon forget. Hiers enjoy spectacular alpine views and hikes among pristine glacier lakes.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The 7,248 sq ft. main lodge was originally built in 1967. The great living room area features high, western-style vaulted ceilings over a large open living/common area with overstuffed chairs, a billiards table, and a quaint western style bar. The dining rooms hosts a Finnish Tulikivi soapstone stove that radiates heat throughout the room.

A spa building on site allows guests to sit and relax in a hot tub overlooking the lake. The building also has a sauna, steam room, and massage therapist services.

The decor consists of handmade woodwork, comfortable furniture, hunting trophies from a long gone era and intriguing photos of the local wildlife, mountains, and recreation. Up on the second floor, there are six charming guest rooms, all fully furnished and each with a private ensuite bath. Two additional guest rooms are found on a third level and each one again has a private ensuite bath.
