A full clothing list will be provided to you upon booking, however, on each tour you’ll be spending time outside, in mountainous terrain which means certain clothing items are always necessary, such as a warm set of clothing, waterproof clothing to protect you from the rain, good and sturdy hiking boots, a hat and an extra set of clothes in case you get wet.
Each tour requires different gear, therefore, it’s best to refer to the particular tour information page. Some only require bringing a sleeping bag, while others require trekking lamps, poles, daypacks, etc. Upon booking a tour, you’ll be provided with a full equipment list.
On our camping tours, all meals are prepared by our experienced guides on the campsite itself. You can expect a variety of meal options during your time with us and we’ll strive to accommodate any dietary requirements you might have. When hiking, you can expect snacks, consisting of freshly made sandwiches and fruits.
During our hotel tours, you’ll be treated to a hearty breakfast at the hotel, followed by a freshly made lunch in the wilderness or at a restaurant, depending on the location of the hike. Dinner plans will be made independently as there are a number of restaurants and cafes for you to choose from on our hotel-based tours.
Most of our camping tours provide basic camping gear, tents, pads so that you only have to bring your sleeping bag.
The minimum age of a hiker depends on each tour. Refer to a particular tour for more information. The restriction can vary from 6 to 12 years old.
Each camping tour is different. Some tours bring you closer to nature and provide a “roughing it” experience by teaching you to camp in tents in the wilderness, others are hut based campsites with showers and other amenities.
All our hiking tours in Canada are rated between easy and moderate. No previous hiking experience is required, however, good physical condition will only enhance your experience.
Yes. All our tours are available for solo travelers as well as couples.
Group size differs from tour to tour but groups should never be bigger than 20 people. Some tours have a quota of 9 people per tour.
