This 4173 km/2593 mile Vancouver Island motorcycle tour begins and ends in Calgary, Alberta and includes the Rocky Mountains, British Columbia, northern Washington state and beautiful Vancouver Island. Starting in Calgary you travel south through the Crowsnest Pass to break through the Canadian Rocky Mountains. After the first night stay in Cranbrook, you will cross into the USA and head towards the beautiful Cascade Mountain Range. This scenic wonderland is known for its steep rugged topography. After tackling the Cascades you find yourself in Anacortes, WA. This beautiful city is on the Fidalgo Island. This area is well known for its whale watching and marine life.
As you head south, you cross Deception Pass, a pass named by the explorers for misleading them to thinking Whidbey Island was a peninsula. You then tour Whidbey Island and take a short ferry ride to the mainland to view Olympic Mountain and enter Port Angeles. After a loop south along the Pacific coastline you board the ferry to Vancouver Island and tour its beauty. The next few days we will do a complete tour of the Island in its entirety then ferry to the mainland. The next few days travelling Northeasterly will prove how the interior of British Columbia is the number one province in Canada to tour on two wheels. This 14 day spectacular trip will show you the Pacific coastland in its own unique beauty.
